Deal with Fomo, or buy everything. (1 Viewer)

the trend seems to be sell it to buy more, or just buy more. Though I'm willing to bet there's a decent contingent of people who got what they liked and then stopped coming here ;)

A single person to join the Forum has been practically capable of buying everything.
He still didn't do it, but offered so much money that he unlocked vaults and blew up the prices, so that normal people can only masturbate on pictures, on the Forum. :)

In all seriousness, I think buying a couple of the budget setups >$10 like Lotfancy, Las Vegas, Broken Arrow & Chips&Games is a good start, 4 full setups for under $50 and then see what stiffness, textures, artwork etc you like and go from there. That's what I did but then still fell in the rabbit hole... lol

You can always sell but you can't always buy again if you miss out initially depending on the item. Even if selling at a small loss, I consider this a "rental fee" and worth it for the test drive.

Well, it would be hypocritical for me to say "exercise discipline", LOL.

BUT, one thing I would be not to buy them all at the same time. If you space out your purchases you can get to know the cards better and besides, you can only really play with so many decks

Just buy some Angel 9999s off eBay and enjoy the best plastic playing cards ever knowing that the only thing holding them back is the indexs being standard. That's how I got over my plastic card collection addiction. :p

You can always sell, but you can’t always buy again.
This statement will haunt my bank account  :ROFLMAO: I went down the rabbit hole hard. I think I have something from most of the brands except Kem and Modiano. I’ve got my hands on some angels, and they’re like BUTTER. I love them so much that I can’t make myself bring them to the table.

What’s the old saying. Buy once, cry all the time because now I can’t stop buying chips please god someone help me. Something like that.

When you're new, everything looks amazing and you want to buy everything. For me, eventually I figured out what I liked through a combination of seeing more chips and owning more chips and figured out what I actually wanted and what kind of collection I wanted. That or I ran out of chiping money.....

Similar to watches, I bought I bunch of crap. Figured out what I actually like, sold off most of them and now have a collection I'm happy with. Things still catch my eye, but mostly I'm happy with my collection and only looking for small pieces to finish out my current sets. Chips have been moving much more slowly in and out now since I've got my custom set in. Most of the time I'd rather use those rather than anything else.
