I’m in Canada and we’re kind of limited by the availability of good plastic cards. I absolutely love the back design of the Venezia design of Da Vinci. Good Security as I don’t think many folks have this.

Any thoughts on the quality of these cards?

Da Vinci its Modiano for North America
same quality ...........

I know it stands to reason. I have tried placed it in our regular rotation and I was not impressed with the durability (the aesthetics were more than acceptable). I found them relatively thin and prone to marking, much like the problems some people have when Copags get a little worn.

I am going to introduce a setup of Copag Texas Holdems so we can compare them to the Da Vincis as soon as the Copag Elites wear out.

Other than the ink fading / rubbing off relatively quickly they're really nice cards. For the US it's $15 shipped and that's a deal for cards that look and feel this good.

The newest line is a lot better than their older cards. I say do it.

I bought my set waaaaay back in 2019, I have these in bridge size standard index. I never outright abused them on purpose, and tried to play on clean tables. but these were always with me and used on many game nights, either on a clean table, not so clean, sticky bar tables, outdoor wood and even the metal wire tables at this coffee store i used to be at a lot. they have not cracked, chipped or flaked. there might be very slight fading but nothing like what Copags go through on felted tables, they've held up very well.

I retired my set not long ago, they were my first plastic cards and they were loved. but they hold too many memories good and bad, and while they are special. i grew to not like the face cards and typeface, but they were $14.99 when i got them so the entry cost was a big driver and the back design was very elegant to me. copag didn't have anything at the time that grabbed me. i do not know if they QA has dipped as cost went up but if you love the Italian style pips, court cards and backs go for it. i find them to be down the middle in a lot of aspects, I prefer Fouriners in terms of how they riffle shuffle and the texture of the cards. unsure if you have any experience with other brands, the Da Vincis are a tad stiff but not the worst and break in great to flex nicely, they feel like a plastic card not trying to pretend to be paper and failing at both, Vincis are not exactly smooth like copags are but have some "texture" that makes the shuffle nicely and not feel like you're holding chunks in your hand

my account is new so i'll see if i can upload some photos of the faces to show what they look like after years of use, that'd make every kem player cringe into a black hole. sorry if the pics don't show it off well, but the reds are slightly faded with the blacks showing more wear obviously. i played with the orange deck way more, so i've only pictured the orange set. as you see from the face cards and the numbers they are completely usable and in pretty good shape, with a few white spots in the indexes and artwork popping through. i always cleaned them after a nasty game or playing area as to not damage them anymore. Like i said i did not baby them (playing on a metal table with kems think about doing that) and they have served me well.

Sorry forgot to say I did switch to other plastic decks every now and again, especially when i had super clean or felt tables. eventually i started to use Tally Ho paper cards instead of plastic to avoid anything bad when we were at some yucky places, but these were ran hard and i do highly recommend them unless quality has changed since i got my set.
