I have decided to part with my Coastal Gaming (CG) cash set, as it isn't used often enough (i.e., with all the other chips I own). The Coastal Gaming group operated a day cruise in association with the Seminole Indian Casino. The ship first sailed in 1997 out of Tampa (Florida), traveling beyond the 3-mile line where gaming is legal. After several run-ins with the law ranging from operating too close to shore to allegations of outright cheating players, the venture shut down for good around 2007. Fortunately, some chips did make it out.

These chips are Paulson THC mold, heavy leaded clay formulation, with shaped inlays, and metal security fleck on the $100s. The chips are in fantastic condition, due to the very limited use. The edges are crisp, and every chip will stand on edge. I built this set from pieces that I acquired over many years. As the chips are fairly rare, they provide much better security than newer chips with multiple owners (e.g., ChipRoom / NAGB chips). I internally debated an inlay replacement on these, but never pursued it beyond a quick test to prove it was feasible.
  • $1 = 328
  • $5 = 378
  • $25 = 191
  • $100 = 80
  • Fitzgerald $0.50 hot stamp = 241
  • TOTAL = 1,218
The set is large enough so that a split is certainly possible. If there is no interest early, I will probably come to my senses and keep them. :ROFLMAO: I prefer to sell to one buyer, but can ship to multiple locations. More info is available on the Chip Guide site here, including a $500 chip that I have never seen in the wild: http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=FLMICG&v=1712314418

Auction Rules:
  1. STARTING BID: $2,500 (i.e., $2/chip for leaded THC with shaped inlays)
  2. Bids must be placed using numbers (no images), in whole dollars, and in minimum increments of $5.
  3. NO RESERVE. The Starting Bid of this auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
  4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
  5. No bid edits or bid retractions permitted. (note: ALL edits are logged instantly)
  6. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid @ 1pm US Central Time on Sunday, 14Jun2020 win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be within 5 minutes after the latest bid was posted. A bid at the close time is NOT a valid bid. Since seconds are not displayed on post timestamps, these examples will be used as a reference.
  7. I reserve the right to: 1) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; 2) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.
  8. PCF (its Owner, Admins, and Moderators) are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
  9. Shipping Terms: All purchases ship FOB from my post office. Actual shipping costs to be added to the final price (i.e., based on buyer's geography), likely shipping in two MFRBs. Insurance may be purchased (if available) to protect against loss/theft/damage. International buyers are welcome.
  10. Payment Terms: Venmo preferred. Will also accept cash at a meetup, personal check (once cleared), or PayPal for international buyers (with Buyer to pay fees)

Oh wow, I didn’t realize there was a full large playable set of these, I’d only seen the smaller partial set, these are killer! Glws

Damn if only I was that rich, security Paulsons are sexy! Whoever wins this has to keep a sample set in a showcase with good lighting.

If these end up split I’m interested in 20 of the $100’s. Glws!

Everyone says great price and GLWS, but jeez. 2$ a chip for leaded THCs with shapes that no one else really has?

Im legitimately going to talk to the wife about this. Not sure how we get there, but seems like a must at the minimum bid.
