Chinese Bats Design (9 Viewers)

I saw a plate and thought it would be an interesting motif for a chip inlay.


The five bats represent five blessings: longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and a peaceful death. They’re around a character for longevity, which can also represent wealth.

Will play around with the colours later but wanted to get thoughts to build on for the inlay.

Writing out the denominations in words is probably redundant, but I like the balance and having the Chinese at the top.

How about the longevity symbol on the label in the background? Maybe use an old parchment paper color instead of white? I just slopped this together to show you

Tried out the parchment and the watermark. Looks like something to build on. Thanks! I’m interested to see how it comes out printed as well.
