These are china clays and have the standard flaking issues that have been noted a million times. The 1ks have some color consistency issues as well. If you need better pics let me know.

Me too. I am very new here and in need of a set. I literally cannot host as I sold my crappy Yin Yang composite chips just yesterday!

Can you post a pic of this phenomenon, if it has happened to any of your chips

When you play with the chips and especially shuffle them you will notice tiny pieces of clay (typically the edgespots) will come off. What this means for the chips in the long run I don't know because I haven't played with them extensively but they have seen play and none of the chips are actively falling apart.

This is a problem with most if not all china clays but the Pharaoh's china clays seem to have the biggest issues with it.

Edit: And here is a barrel pic that shows some missing pieces. These are known as "flea bites" in the chip community. They happen to all clay chips but happen faster on china clays I'm sure.

I have samples of these and the Dunes. I've shuffled the samples quite a bit and haven't noticed anything. Is this set from a few years back?

Don't know what to tell you. I have had the chips for around 9 years now. The flaking issue has been well documented, especially on the Pharaohs which is why I mentioned it and posted the pics. I try to offer full transparency on my listings because I never want anyone to be unhappy with their chips.
