Hi all, new member here.

I’ve been running a laid-back $1/$2 NL home game with friends for a few years, and the rabbit hole of casino-used Paulsons finally pulled me in.

I’m especially interested with the Horseshoe Southern Indiana (HSI) set, so you’ll probably see me hunting for a small cash breakdown in the For Sale forums.

Looking forward to learn from the seasoned collectors and contributing where I can.

See you around the forums...and the tables!

Welcome!

As you post and gain the ability to direct message other members, you may want to read the original sales thread for the HSI chips:

Very helpful thank you! And interesting to see how the price has changed over time.

Hello and welcome from local PCF'er. Good luck on your HSI hunt!
Thanks I might need the luck :) HSI seem in high demand!

Hello and welcome from Indy!

I love those $1 chips!

Welcome!
The nice thing about sets like HSIs is that there are lots of them, so you don't have to wait long. If you post a Wanted ad with your desired breakdown, it's likely you'll get a bunch of folks reaching out.

Do you recommend waiting for a complete set or picking up loose racks here and there?

Personally, I've followed this approach below. If someone offers you a great deal on a rack, take it - you can always sell again if you get too much.
1. Search for what's been listed in the last year, listing prices, and what sold (and how fast)
2. Reach out to HSI buyers from those threads - a fair number of us are a fickle bunch, and often want to move on to something else after a bit
3. Create a Wanted ad with what I'm looking for. Don't have to commit to anything unless someone offers a great deal.
4. Don't be afraid to negotiate back based on what you learned in 1. - you're in the driver's seat in this buyer's market
5. Keep an eye on listings, and pounce when a great deal hits (you do have to pounce if it's really good - they go fast)
