If I was someone that wanted to get a Dunes uncirculated set, I would swoop this up like NOW! These are some of the nicest Dunes chips I've seen in a while. Let me tell you.... I've seen A LOT of Dunes chips. Most of the people that got their uncirculated sets years ago did really well and I'm sure they know what they've got. I think @davislane pricing is spot on considering its getting harder and harder to find uncirculated $5s primarily. These are absolutely amazing chips in person and whoever buys this set is going to love it for years.
Appreciate the feedback. Given your experience with these chips specifically Its good to know.

Okay, I see what you’re saying. I took a quick glance at them and they looked to be in great shape (which they are). I’m seeing excellent condition used chips amongst some uncirculated or very close to being uncirculated for instance in the $5s. The $25s are excellent condition compared to the used chips you can find out there. Then the $100s look to be mixed too, but still really good condition. Same goes for the $500s.

I’m going off how the edges look. Sharp and clean or sharp and slightly dirty. A little bit of cleaning on the $5s and $100s and they would shine nicely. Overall I still think it’s a great price and a great breakdown for someone that would like to have a Dunes set.
with a little bit of love this set would scrub up just fine and would be a welcomed addition to anyone collection..... just not mine atm. :cool .

These are gorgeous chips and if I wanted a very nice vintage vegas, shaped inlay, house mold, really sharp and clean set of chips that I wanted to play with and wasn't worried about ruining an uncirculated chip I'd pick these up. I really don't see how you could check more boxes on a set than that. Frankly, much nicer condition than mine.

I can’t believe people are nitpicking the condition on these. They’re not casino used and they’re stunning - that’s what matters. If I didn’t have big baccarat Dunes, I’d consider these. The dunes house mold is gorgeous.

This is exactly what I was thinking! These are in AMAZING CONDITION!

Ehh.. If they were uncirculated.. maybe
These are used chips, definitely circulated
Am I missing something there?
These chips are about as good as you are going to get, These are what the Dunes uncirculated chips look like. The 25's tend to darken up with use, and I see most of these being fairly light, you can see some darker ones, but they are still in great shape, and they all look great, even the warped ones which is typical on the 25's. Trust me, I have over 3000 of these chips. The quality of these chips is top notch.

If someone has a used set, I would consider buying a used set and they could upgrade to this excellent condition set.

And quite honestly, I saw the initial price and I felt it was a little too high, but I haven't been to Spinettis to buy in quite awhile, and I just checked out there supply, and there is not much left, so the pricing seems pretty reasonable now.
Sad to see one of the last great Hoards of old school chips dwindling. They still have used 5's, 25s, 100s, 500's, 5B,20B, 100B, 5kB but the prices have sure gone up. Hard to put together a good set now, but the used chips are still damn nice in my opinion .

Yup, when I won a Dunes Baccarat $20 auction recently, I headed straight to Spinetti's and cleaned them out of the last of their Baccarat $5s and I was honetly surprised they still had some.
But pricewise, I think the recent Chiproom sale showed us what mintish leaded textured Paulsons are worth, and that's $9 apiece. So these Dunes are a bargain.

No shit lol “Ahhhhh not minty enough for me. I demand better quality.” GTFOH lol
