Hey team,

I somehow managed to win uncontested 2 lovely racks of the Strat $1s from @Rieguy

Since this was a buy first ask questions later deal, looking for suggestions to build out the rest of the cash set with this as the starting point.

I already have two cash sets, one Vegas & one Cali colors, so don’t feel the need to follow any particular ‘normal’ color progression if the rest work together. Also in no rush to complete - probably better if not in the marketplace right now and happy to have a project in the works.

I will do a relabel of all chips, looking for mold consistency, so THC and non-leaded. I’m an edge snob, don’t mind a couple of flea bites but don’t want tires.

My other 2 sets have a ton of fracs and one that can host up to $2/$5, so I’d probably make this a smaller $1/$1 set looking for chips that could be a good $5/$25/hundo:

1. $5 x 300
2. $25 x 80 (or maybe more)
4. $100 x 20 (or maybe no hundos?)

Cheers
Kam!

Yeah, I was going to suggest at least one other chip have a V spot of some variety. I guess that’s the TP $2 for that $5. Looks good!

Lol... that is who I bought them from :p I am not 100% sure on if they are leaded. I will weigh them tonight when I get home if nobody weighs in.

Jack Cincy snappers might be good for the $5. Something about blue grain makes me think BRIGHT.

something something great minds - I think I actually mentioned this to Kam privately

Strats truly go w/ so many possible combos that red, yellow, or pink $5s all would work beautifully.

Played around with a few colors using my tiger sample. Don’t have many other chips to play with.

Leaning towards the blaze $1k as a hundo. Not sure on $5/$25 yet. Will look into the Jack cincy snapper a little more as a potential $5.

Love the Blue Grain!!

I use it as a Frac and it goes great with my relabelled Bally's $1s, Chicken $5s and AS $100s (but yeah, they go with about anything):

Only need 4 denominations for my cash set, but wanted more color... so I designed multiple colors with the labels on all of the $1s...
:)

spent this morning absent mindedly looking at the Faro dunes $100 cash chip as I was searching for 4v/ 8v chips.

And then these popped up:

So i think I might have found my $25 chip.

Now need to somehow hide the marketplace so I don’t see potential $5s everytime I look.

Kinda surprised you didn't scoop these up!!View attachment 1540946
Yeah I did see them, but I didn’t think nice fracs would be that easy to get at volume since I’ll end up looking for ~300 $5s. Who knows, maybe end looking at them again. Might have too much blue in the edge spots though + white with the $1s, will likely need different edge spot colors to those now.

Hmmm… messed around with the TP $2 as a $5 spot in the line up, not convinced though. Think would need to separate with another $25 in between the Tiger & keep the Faro as a hundo if I went with the TP as a $5:

Those inlay removed AS hot stamps on the market look decent.

I have looked at that entire sale thread more times than I care to admit. I was online when it posted. I think I deserve a PCF sticker for not impulse buying everything in that sale. Those chicken $25s looked awesome as well, never seen them before.

Honestly trying not to buy the chips right now, just planning/playing around with what would work first.

Those hotstamps are nice and would work though.

Idk. I think a straight 8V lineup works best as a tourney set, a la Binion’s. I still like the Cincy snapper for the $5, then maybe the TP $25 and the RPC $20 as the $100.

Or just the FD as a $20/$25 and get a cool white barrel for the $100. Basically just a Cali set at that point and asking for a yellow $5 tho.
