I don’t have any Apache cases but this has to be pretty close. Heavy latches and you can put locks on both corners. Will have to
wait till tomorrow to see how racks fit. Still on the road after a knee surgery. Day surgery. Ready for a nap once I’m home. Will report back once I try racks in it.

Had a chance to put some chips into it. Never set up a case like this but for a first try it works well. 1000 chips with room for dealer buttons card cappers and cards.

No foam in the bottom. Cut the solid piece of foam to snug in the bottom racks.

And pick and pluck for the top.

Put some foam back under the card set up because it was a deep hole. Nothing moves at all. The cappers stay right in place. A little snug closing the lid with the lid foam in it but nothing crazy. Should cause any chip issues. Besides all the racks have lids. Really glad I got two of these. Got another set coming that will fit nicely into the second one.

Fyi, the 22" case is almost a direct knockoff of my Pelican case. Very happy with it

In my old case I sprayed the foam with Plastidip after plucked for longevity and ir helps hold it together. My other cases where I didnt eventually devolve into foamy messes.

I’m hoping these are Apache 3800 equivalent. We will see.
Did they have foam? Looked like no foam in either the black or yellow one in the current/recent flyer.
I have one of the 20" versions as they are very similar to the Apache/Nanuck or Pelican cases except the clasps are easier to open/close and I'd question its water resistance. Otherwise I prefer my princess auto case to the Pelican case I have because it's easier to open, lighter on my fingers. The exterior material is otherwise just as good.

I found the clasps closed pretty snug. Don’t lock like my nanuk though. It did come with 3 layers of foam. Top middle was pick and pluck and the bottom layer.

I have had a good look at that option. All that has held me back is the weight of filling it. Also I'd never be able to consciously pluck out the foam nerfing it as a gun case. If you have anything that is nice requiring under 42" then it's one heck of a case. It may hold over 3k in chips but it already starts at 21lbs. It gives these princess autos a run for their money for weight if fully loaded.

Broke down and got one of the wheeled and a non wheeled version. Thinking they may end up as pistol cases as my current ones dont hold magazines and these could be made to do both for the range.

How many poker chips did you finally fit in the box? I need to come up with a solution for approx 4400, 36mm chips. The red tool boxes only hold 2600. I might need to set up a Canadian group buy of those China racks for these as the old bud jones cases are harder to find.

My configuration I got room for 1000 chips. I’m pretty sure if you put the racks all on their sides you could go 2 high and put 900 per row for 1800 total. Not much room for anything else. Might be able to squeeze in a card setup and button or two.

Ended up sizing the case for 1600 (8 top and bottom).

Ran out of clear Plasti-dip so used my white.

Wasn't crazy about it so went to get some black, seems a shortage at my local hardware store and they only had red.

Only had one choice on what to do.
