Been offered 600 of these for £20 which seems like a good deal. Just wondering if anyone has felt them before, what are they like?

Really like the colours and if the labels come off they could make a decent tournament set.

How wrong can you go at that price?

Even if they are just metal slugged we're talking 5 pence (is that the right way to say it?) per chip. I image that's what dice chips go for, these at least have a cool design and appear to have an interesting mold.

If you like the design, go for it.

Not familiar with the chips themselves, so I cannot give a thumbs up or down, but I can cay...
  • Stacks of 25 in a cellophane wrap screams plastic chips.
  • I've never met the plastic chip that did not have a removable label.
  • While the chips may be cheap, keep in mind the cost of custom labels will be the real bear here, running roughly 4x the cost of the chips.
  • I only see 300 chips in that pic - Before moving, I'd want to be 100% certain that it's 600.
  • The top pic looks blaze orange. The bottom pic looks to be more reddish, which matches the color of the Bodog website logo. Make sure you love the correct color. Amateur cameras often get confused taking pics of chips because of automatic white-balance.
  • Colors or no, you are still looking at the Bodog house mold.
Consider the above knowledge/suspicions from experience and make your decision.

They are 300 sets and he has about 20.

Good observations but they're so cheap it's worth the risk. Anymore I wouldn't bother.

Just got them through. I am extremely happy. They are very sharp edges, very well made, not slippery at all....basically feel like my old BCC's.

I'm at work now so I'll post some pictures later.

He's got a few more sets and at £10 for 300 I'm thinking of buying the rest, these are an absolute steal.

Had a proper look. Ok so saying they felt like BCC's was a bit of an over exaggeration - they are just too light. A couple of more grams though and they would be spot on. They have a great texture, sharp edges, and a consistent quality. They stack extremely well:

And you know what? I love the colours. Always thought the red/black combination worked well after seeing the $100 South Point chips on Poker After Dark. Also, how cool is that little heads up table top? Saw them on Amazon for £25 shipped and I play a couple of guys quite regularly heads up, so it will work well.

The labels on the chips come off quite easily so they are definitely a future relabel project:

I was looking for a cheap but interesting tournament set and these have definitely ticked the boxes. I am tempted to buy more from him but don't really think I need them. The cards in the box were terrible (paper) but overall for £20 for 600 I cannot argue whatsoever.

I am a sucker for a bargain!

Melt one to see what it's made of... :)

Cuz if Alibaba says it's clay, it's likely ABS. But even if ABS, sounds like a deal.

I was able to snap one in half by hand quite easily, so I assume clay?

They look sharp, especially for cheapies. If you do a relabel, that would be a cool tourney set. I saw your mockups--they look great!
