What are you offering for a rack? I see you’re a new member so just trying to focus your thoughts… annnd it looks like you joined today like 4 hours ago.
I’m just trying to build myself a nice mixed set for personal use and I thought these fit well with what I already have. I’m not entirely sure a good price for a rack of them but just to ballpark I’m willing to pay around 350

It costs at least $650 as an in the lower end, more than $1,000 in the higher end. Price depends on condition and market situation. For $350, you probably can get 2 nice barrels.

Yeah that’s why I asked. A few months ago these chips were harvested live before Ballys closed. So none were obtained for less than $500/rack (face value). If you do a search you can see the listings for these. I can tell you the 20-25 racks myself and a few others have cost $650-800/rack. For your reference as a new member.

If you’re not sensitive to condition maybe someone here has some for closer to face value per chip.

But if you can get at 650 a rack that’s very lucky since these are obsolete. Don’t see them a lot for sale
Well the most I would be willing to pay is 650. I’m not sure if it would be easier or harder to find a rack for that price if I’m only looking for one. Thank you for the help!

To add, you also need samples if you’re new, especially if you never seen Bally’s $5s in person
I don’t always like the hassle of getting myself sample sets. I know, bad habit. But I’ve handled quite a few 39mm casino grade chips. Is there anything, such as weight, that makes these drastically different?

Color is pretty. That’s pretty much it. House mold (instead of THC or RHC). Textured inlays. Not leaded.

Harvesting good condition chips used to be hard- one chip at a time during live play. The rebranding of Ballys created a golden opportunity for some mint racks in the back to be discovered and brought into the light.

I enjoy house molds and textured inlays

Textured hub SHAPED Inlays

I probably have a rack laying around @CheetahChips2

It’s very likely the chips you see were in mine or casinochippers suitcase last year. I harvested 53 racks from the place. RIP good chips in Vegas. I think current best live Vegas 5 is GN

I made friends with the poker cage. I’d come in at 2am and I would buy racks and sort chips until 4am. I’m a very generous guy and tip well. I would give my guy gift cards so he didn’t have to share. At the end, he let me know about all the mint racks via text message. I had the same situation at GN too. Almost nobody took me up on the offer to harvest at cost. Silly chippers. Now the chips are beat.
