Where do you think I got my inspiration? There was less oil at the Exxon Valdez oil spill
But not as much as on your forehead...There was less oil at the Exxon Valdez oil spill
This is my first time doing it and I don’t know how to do it that quickly utilizing the compression method I read about on the forum. I’m not just wiping but actually pressing the oil into the clay, And of course watching a football game and battling my OCD.It really shouldn't be that time consuming. 20 minutes a rack is about right.
But not as much as on your forehead...
I like oil, lots and lots of oil.If it was oily, you’d probably use it too

Looks great! Feel free to just continue with mine after finishing yours!
A capful would do multiple racks. I believe you will find most chippers don't recommend using as much oil as the OP of the "compression" method. A small amount of oil will brighten up brand new chips and freshly cleaned chips. I don't wipe the faces anymore either.Even a capful should last multiple barrels at least.
You only oil edges?A capful would do multiple racks. I believe you will find most chippers don't recommend using as much oil as the OP of the "compression" method. A small amount of oil will brighten up brand new chips and freshly cleaned chips. I don't wipe the faces anymore either.
You only oil edges?
Correct. Unless the faces need it, which has only been 2 racks of chips out about 3000 I've done. Most of the time though just doing the edges (whole barrel at a time) gets the job done. You only oil edges?
