Hi all!

I just purchased my first ever chip set, and am ready to start my chip collection journey! I’m know this set has been shown here and there but just wanted to share my thoughts and pics

Been playing poker at least once a week for many years now at regular home games / casino games and finally decided to get a chip set for my own games. We did a pitch in at one of my regulars for a “Poker Knights” set that was nice, but I wanted something for myself.

This is an (about) 800 chip set for a 25c/50c game we play weekly. The reason I got 25c chips AND 50c chips is because I like the color variety on the table and they look pretty!

I did a video unboxing here.

Thoughts:
  • My first initial thought was that these chips DO NOT have any weird smell to them. There is a lot I have seen about china clays having a weird smell, but I honestly can’t smell anything with these chips. It might have to do with the creation process, and these have been sitting in the warehouse for awhile and lost the smell but in any case I suppose that shows it goes away eventually.
  • Sounds VERY close to Paulsons in the casino. Big fan of the sounds and weight.
  • Chips are slightly chalky in texture and visual appearance, slightly rubbing with water removes this so I assume it will go away with play or with some mineral oil.
  • Chips were ordered on Monday and arrived at my house on Thursday. Very fast shipping!
  • Apache support was great, I made 4 separate orders and when I contacted support asking to consolidate, they combined my order and returned the extra shipping cost.

Congratulations on a great set that you like, that's the most important part. I, and many others, will hate you for using both the 25c and 50c but it sounds like that's a risk you're willing to take.
Thanks! Yeah, I am prepared for the denomination hate lol, I just am a big fan of the color coordination and variety as mentioned. I'll take the flogging!

Congrats! I have the Royals for my cash set and plan to get the Majestics for a tournament set. Apache is top notch

Ah-oh, this sounds like a leading question, watch out! :)

Welcome, where in Indiana are you located? I'm hoping I can get my schedule set up to hit some games with this great chipper @Machine

I sure do, I play home games every weekend around Southern Indiana. Right across the bridge so Caesar's Southern Indiana is a really easy drive. Typically play 25c/50c home games and $1/2 up there. Did a nice $600 cash last night, was in for $200 - little flex lol

That is a bit of a drive! There seem to be quite a few PCFers down that way in the Southern Indiana/Kentucky area. Maybe someday we can get an all state meet up going!!! Nice chips BTW!!!
