"China clays" are good quality only if supervised by

"Real american casino clay" (compression) chips are outside you present budget, but I don't know a single person here who didn't eventually send their budget to Hell.

In that case, off-the-shelf CPCs are IMO the most peace-of-mind option (Atlantic Club, Rounders, American Eagle, and Key West; the latter offered by the name-sake very reputable vendor here).
