Cash Game .50/1 Starting stack breakdown (2 Viewers)

.50/1 is fair, but wouldn't breaking the bank for fracs I wouldn't go out the way.

Personally, I would just ditch the .25 or .50 chips and play 1/1. I switched from .50/1 to 1/1 and it was just much easier. I did $60-$200 buy-in.

20 x $1
16-36 x $5

My old set breakdown for this was like:

200 x $1
400 x $5
200 x $25

If you are going to use .25 chips though, I don't think you need more than 8 per player. And much like casino 2/5 games, i'd say that non-dollar increments of .25 chips don't count as part of your stack except for posting blinds. Meaning you can only bet in $1 increments outside of posting the small blind.

I really like this...I think a lot of home cash games overcomplicate things when it comes to quarters and min bets. My game plays smaller but $1 min bet after blinds.

I’m with the 1/1 guys on this one. Play .25/.50 or 1/1 but .50/1 just feels weird. No logical reason it should I guess, but 1/1 just runs a lot smoother and doesn’t really play any bigger. Barrel of 1s per player then as many 5s as they want. Throw in some 20s here and there just for color. Light blue 1s, red 5s and yellow 20s is an awesome combo.

I felt the same too, I will rather host 50/$1 or $1/$2 than to host $1/$1
