I don't know. A T25 tournament set converts well to a 25c/50c cash game.

What cash stakes? How many players, how many anticipated rebuys?

Thiat is $60. 400 chips. Could be used for both.

I’ve got this plastic 900 chip slugger for $90 (ten cents a chip) or trade for a rack of blue $1 I don’t have.

Fair point, I guess I was thinking more by traditional colors.

I think I can infer from the budget that this is kitchen table-type poker - my assumption would be 4-8 players playing who knows what. My buddy just asked me since he knows I’m into chips…he was thinking about a gift for his sisters bf.

If you want chips with demoms within your budget, then you can look at Cash Club type chips. I used those for years before joining this site. They are 13.5g and are decent looking, and purchased by the 25 roll.
Claysmith has the same chips but called Bluff Canyon and are $90 for 500 Chips or $5.50 per roll of 25.

Agreed. Bluff Canyons are hard to beat for that price.
