Hey everyone,

We are 6(7 max- rare) hands playing 1/1 cash game, buy in 100 max( some buy in 50) with rebuy- lets say about 10 r/b. Rebuy can be 100 or 50.

I have the next set:

125 1s
150 5s
25 25s
15 100s

Starting stack
15 1s
17 5s

Is that enough? Need to add anything?

Thank you for your help.
Haim.

That’s a good start, but I’d suggest rounding up to full racks/barrels. The $5 is the workhorse chip, and you have the absolute bare minimum. At 1/1, you could have nights where you’re short on chips.

At a minimum I’d suggest:

200 x $1
300 x $5
40 x $25
20 x $100

But if you can, you should try for:

200 x $1
400 x $5 (or more....)
80 x $25
20 x $100

And you’d have enough for nights it plays bigger or nights when you have 10 players.

I like at least 60 of the workhorse chip ($5) per player. So that would be 360 minimum for your 6 player nights. 500 would be great though for night you end up with more players.

Players tend to hoard their big chips. If a guy rebuys for $100 and gets 4 $25 chips he is going to feel short stacked and be less likely to put them into play. The more chips a player has the more splashy they will be, calling loose preflop.

What you have will work just fine for your current game. The only need to add more chips would be to accommodate more players, or feed a chip addiction (something many of us here have).

Agree...I've never had more than 3 racks in play of any chip. Your weakest spot is the 5's, but it's very playable as-is. With rebuys after 8th buy in, offer/suggest to change out the big stack...that way all rebuys are still 15x1 and 17x5
