Since the host isn't taking a rake, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If this guy is a reg, and has never pulled this before, I can see how the host could get caught unaware. However, even if this is what happened, I'd be making every effort to get the money back from BL, and...

Just curious, did the BL not have any money to pay the host (was he planning on freerolling the whole time) or did he just get in way over his head, and he couldn't make up what he owed?

Seriously though, I’d ask for some type of collateral until the host can pay you, either from his own funds or those of the degen.
