    Interesting Hand $25/$50/$100 NLHE

For the preflop debate, it's not just an open - it is a utg open. Depends on how loose/how aggressive per the description but generally utg is opening hands that have q10 suited in a world of negative implied odds. Sure, 3 bet a cutoff open with this hand. But UTG? Nah.

Host can't pay out everyone, what to do?

Two reasons 1) it would be a really high amount of float for one person to carry. That's a crazy amount of trust to put in someone. Even not for dishonesty - host dies, get divorced, gets sued, tax issues, etc. 2) any method that makes losses more front and center and painful to net losers...

Host can't pay out everyone, what to do?

Bigger stakes has the security and transfer issues others have mentioned. At my middle stakes game, no book/credit and people can have other players spot them but I'm not extending credit as a host for all the reasons mentioned. Re what to do here: How well do you know the...

    Interesting Hand $25/$50/$100 NLHE

With an early open and a limper, this is a fold on the btn in my opinion. As played, flop brings a dynamic board for clubs and wheel aces. We are probably best currently but should bet larger due the dynamic texture. $3400.

Ettiquette question in home game - checking out of turn on river

Depends on the card room. Technically rules I've seen lean towards this reopening potential actions as it's an aggressive action.

Ettiquette question in home game - checking out of turn on river

Pretty active joking environment even for an action game. E.g. I sometimes wear a medal that when you press it plays the song "you're the best around" from the karate kid movies and click it whenever I drag a pot.

Ettiquette question in home game - checking out of turn on river

Yes, yes, no To be clear, in position I would have bet. But out of position after that groan from another player, no way I was betting in what I thought was out of position.

Ettiquette question in home game - checking out of turn on river

So I know the poker rules here - thinking more about appropriate action in a friendly game. PLO cash, heads up to the river. Decent sized pot of about 150 BB. Hero is last to act, and river completes his nut straight flush. Player who folded turn audibly groans when the diamond hits (wtf?)...
