Considering Relocation from Ontario Canada to New Mexico for work, What should I know?

Born and raised New Mexican here, NMSU grad (go Aggies!) Been in Boston the past 20+ years with a seven month stint in ABQ about a decade ago. Go back every couple of years to visit family and friends. First question: which hospital? Albuquerque has dismal public transportation. Plan...

    SOLD Black Friday Sale

Yes - I did this with my Horseshoes and Gear Labels. Haven't lost a label in three years of play and the labels don't stick stick up over the recess. I used non-laminated labels and the work fine and have more than adequate survivability., I even let one soak in a pint of beer for 15 minutes...

    SOLD Black Friday Sale

This right here. My home game (travelling hosts, anywhere from 8 - 16 players, one or two tables) started with my dice chips. Then I added an extra set. After a year I picked up some used Milanos. About 18 months later I had assembled a set off the Horseshoe Cincinnati and labelled over...

SOLD Horseshoe Southern Indiana Sale Thread

I'd play that game. Most the guys I play with are used to Dice chips, or best case, Milanos. It wasn't until I got a Cincy Horseshoe that they got a taste of Paulson. My set uses Eldorado Club $1s relabeled as quarters with the Cincy Horseshoe $1s and $5s. Different mold, but works great...

    FAQ: Pricing (2019)

I'll let gear answer but one of the best things you can do is missing from the price list: order a sample set! I was convinced I needed one type of label, once I had the goods in hand it was clear I preferred a different style.

    Black Friday Sale

Welcome to my life every Black Friday. One year I ended up with 17 Werner fiberglass 8'-0" A-frame ladders from Lowes for $19.99 each because my in-law's horrible internet connection kept crashing at checkout. Unknown to me the orders were going through. Starbucks is usually open on...

    Testimonials

[Edit: By "too large" below I mean "too thick" - laminated labels over the existing inlay would result in spinners] Thanks for the kind words! The inlays are unlaminated, matte applied directly over the existing inlay. To help make my decision I ordered a full sample set (both black and...

    Wanted Blue chip relabel option

I just did a relabel using the blue Eldorado $1.00 chips as the frac for a project using Cincinatti Horseshoe $1s and $5s. Can find those chips pretty easily for around $80 a rack or less. While I wanted a darker blue scheme (think Michigan or West Virginia blue) the lighter blue isn't bad...

    Testimonials

I'll just say for those of you getting into the hobby and considering a China Clay chip, just skip that step and go straight to casino chips and then add an inlay when you get the funds. Because working with Gear was amazing - he was patient and understanding of my questions which he likely...

February 12th - Multi Casino Sale

Just got three racks of $1.00s and a rack of $5.00s for a custom relabel project. Cleaning up nicely with OxyClean and a Magic Eraser for the edges! Very happy. Wish I bought these a year ago. Many thanks!

    Guild

I find Guilds very similar to stock Modianos, from the font to the face cards to the thickness down the box they come in. I prefer Modiano Texas Poker between the two of them, but I'm really open to any nice card other than Copag.

Fragility and durability of China Clay's chips

After posting that I've only had chips (older Milanos) break when dropped on the floor, on Saturday I had one break when tossed into the pot (we use a velvet lined dice tray to make it easy to collect and award pots). I didn't charge the player since it is normal for us to toss chips.

Fragility and durability of China Clay's chips

My Milanos are pretty well used (bought here), drops on a concrete floor has broken a couple but nothing from ordinary use or drops on wood flooring or carpet, and even most concrete drops do nothing. I just have a policy that if you drop a chip and it breaks you owe me face value of the chip...

SOLD 2200 Horseshoe Cleveland Primary Chips

As much as I'd want the entire set, my wife would divorce me and likely take the chips too. But I'd be in for a couple racks of $1's and a couple barrels of $5s if split...but please don't split. That set is too nice as a whole to part out like that.

    Chip confusion

Yeah. We run two tables @ 8 players per table; and after playing around with dice chip quantities/values settled in on 20 @ $0.25 and 20 @ $1.00 for a $25.00 buy in. half the players are pretty loose so I intentionally run short stacks to limit their losses so they keep coming back; we do...
