BR Pro / ABC Black Friday Sale Information

Will you know by tomorrow if your doing this? If so, you might as well order the parks and rec chips with it. It would save you the re shipping expenses from place to yours.

    Cards at Coyote Gulch

LOL I usually run a T25, but I figured I'd try a T100 base since the 100 is my favorite chip in the lineup.

    Cash vs Tournament Sets

There doesn't *have* to be a big difference between cash and tournament denominations. But the biggest reason it is usually done is for security. You don't want chips used for tournaments show up in cash games because their ascribed value may be very different. Cash denoms follow the stakes...

    Noob Question

At the core of the matter, the "T" is simply used in text (and sometimes speech) to easily show the difference between a denominated chip with no value -- a '5' or '25' chip, for example -- from a denominated chip that represents an actual cash value and includes a currency symbol, such as "$"...

Thank you for the detailed explanation @BGinGA, that makes perfect sense. I'm a little embarrassed that I couldn't figure that out on my own.

NexGen Custom Label Set - Denomination Advice

Thanks for the response gives me a lot to think about. Currently... and I know I am going to get slated for this. People buy in between £5 - £15. Mainly because people like a lot of chips we equate that to 500 & 1500 retrospectively and start with blinds at 10/20, then raise this up if people...

Emerald Bay Club - Matsui cash set GROUP BUY -- ORDER THREAD, CLOSED

I'm building a 25c/50c cash set with sufficient numbers that will allow it to also double as a T.25 tourney set (T.25 T1 T5 T20 T100). Same blind structure (and feel) as a T25-base set.

I guess the only thing I find strange about a T.25 base tourney set is verbalizing the first few blind levels as "cents". Might suggest the chips have a cash value (though if matching buy-ins to stack sizes then no issue) . Really not *that* big of a deal just something I thought was weird. I...

    Tourney Arguments against T25/T100/T500/T2000/T10000 sets?

We did exactly that a couple of weeks ago -- T.25-base set, $25 chip stack with T.25/T.25 opening blinds.

    Mad Duck Poker (43mm Hybrids)

It's basically a 3,000-chip 4-table cash set with 25 spares per denomination, plus matching bounty chips in case it ever gets used as a T.25- or T1-base tourney set. Can also work as a fixed-limit set at several different stakes. Oh, and 25 dealer buttons. I think he's gonna pass 'em out as...

Tourney Small denomination STT tournament set/stacks... T1 base?

Thanks for the response this is really close to what I was thinking. This is a NCV set with values 1-500 with primary use for my craps table. This will only ever be tournament style or more likely play money. No cash overlap/risk. How would you suggest cutting out rebuys? 5/1 of T100/T500 for...

Using the same set for cash and tournament? Blasphemy! lol I look forward to seeing your structure sheet for that.

    CPC Design Feedback

Ah! Thank you so much for all this input. Some responses: 0) I doubt the $25 would ever see play but A) moar chips, B) I really like the design of that chip, it feels like it really closes out the set, C) it’s a pricey chip so I’ll probably be getting a quite minimal amount, D) there’s an...

    Tourney Arguments against T25/T100/T500/T2000/T10000 sets?

T.25 base would be the nuts in terms of efficiency. ;-) Only issue I could imagine - other than it’s not conventional - is that people could think that the amount of the buyin is equal to the amount of chips received.

What am I doing wrong? Home game help.

    Absolutely. I typically recommend using between 10-16 chips each of the lowest two denominations in any tournament set (so 10 or 15 each if T1-, T5-. T100-, or T500-base, and 12 or 16 each if T.25 or T25-base). T2000 stacks, T5-base: 10 x T5 10 x T25 7 x T100 2 x T500 ---------- 29 chips per...

Tourney Small denomination STT tournament set/stacks... T1 base?

I occasionally host a dollar for dollar tourneys where $100 gets you $100 in chips and we start blinds at .25. It basically works like a 10k with a t25 base. The benefit of running it as dollar for dollar is we allow top offs after the rebuy period — in other words, if someone had $72 after...

I would love to see what your chip breakdown will be. I keep thinking through how/what I want to order and I keep coming back to having to relabel. I’m really interested in how you do yours so I can avoid the relabel option. Will you share your quantity breakdown? Or do I need to keep lurking...

...taken my share of arrows for pioneering a wide variety of poker-related causes. 25/75, T2000, multi-use 25/100/500/2000 sets, T.25-base tourney sets, T500-base tourney sets, consistent blind structures, and 100 cash game quarters, just to name a bunch right off the top of my head...
