All PCFers are invited to the first Orlando Laminate Floor Installation Contest on Sunday, December 15, 2019!

Entry is free, players will be judged on speed and quality of work once I return home from my local card room, and first place wins some cheap beer and maybe Domino's Pizza.

Where's your table saw?

Miter saw is on the back porch, ready to rumble. I have a crappy, cheap Home Depot table saw, but the last time I used it, it wanted to kick back something fierce. I think I need to upgrade.

I'm sure you'll have this done on no time. If I can put down laminate efficiently, then ANYBODY can put down laminate efficiently. I find the baseboards sometimes takes up more time than the laminate, because of all the filling and painting and stuff.

I have to say that I'm disappointed in this "community." Sure, you guys will fly across the country for a weekend of drinking and degenerate gambling. But I give you an opportunity for camaraderie and character-building through hard work, and who shows?

NOBODY, that's who.

In spite of the lack of attendance, the day was largely a success. I went through 13.5 of 17 boxes, and only have an alcove and a couple of entryways to finish tomorrow before doing the trim work and calling it quits.
