Nice. Any reviews of this thing out there yet?

Somebody just asked via DM too. Here's what I came up with (but also happy to answer any questions not addressed here):

I've been loving these with one minor caveat: loading the cards takes some technique.

If you don't keep the cards neat and properly angled when loading, the second card from the bottom may try to load first and the machine will get a bit stuck and beep at you. It's actually super easy to avoid if you notice it's about to happen. You can just tug out the bottom few cards and drop them back on top of the deck before the machine even complains.

But due to these helpful techniques, it's not ideal to let a squirrel run the shuffler. Works best with a dedicated shuffler man who can get the hang of loading the cards.

Other than that, near zero complaints. I had always used KEMs for hand shuffling but this thing prefers stiffer/grippier cards. The Classics from thepokerstore.com are extremely cheap and work just right.

I have experienced misfeeds mid-shuffle, but they've been almost entirely eliminated with the right cards and keeping the machine level and stable. There are also some screws you can turn to tune the machine to a particular card thickness.

Love that it can run on a battery. It works great on a side table but it's also been fine at the end of a Barrington with ~8 players.

It probably takes about 90s but have never timed it. It's basically always ready for a new hand unless we're like 4-5 handed and everyone folds right away.

Can't compare to the ST1000 because I've never used it. LeShuffler *does* make noise, but it's never come close to being a problem.

You know what.... I'll record a shuffle here shortly. That should help convey both the volume and the timing.

Update: Sold!

But I'll still drop the video here. Uploading was way harder than I expected lol. YouTube wanted my ID and everything. It's also a "short" for some reason.

Anyway, the shuffle was 91s and hopefully this gives some idea of the volume.

Oof. Sounds just as loud as the Shuffletech.

Marking this thread as sold but if anyone ever has interest in a gently used one, get in touch. I probably still have more than I need.

I *wish* I had 3 tables on the regular...
