2026- New Mold Ideas (6 Viewers)

I like the suites mold (spaced, not clusters). Palm tree mold is decent in terms of it's visual appeal, but I think it is still a little too niche. I kinda like the idea of generic-ish words (NEVADA or CARDROOM perhaps)

I think something vaguely nautical like a rope pattern could result in something that's geometric enough to be used on a wide variety of chips. But then again... web is my fave, so maybe we stick purely geometric.

Does Tina design the actual molds or does someone on the forum usually send her a vector file?
We usually send her a vector file

WAVE CRESTS

Why can't they make something that tastefully resembles top hat and cane, like that coffee mug and saucer combination?

I'll throw out a few misc mock-ups that I had chat gpt generate for me. None are perfect as-is, but might help people visualize or generate other ideas:

If I do a poll I'd like to have 6 or so in the initial poll with pictures!

Some of those pictures from @QuietMaple have a lot of space for label art.
The proportions here are pretty arbitrary, but we should be able to scale any design to fit more or less art (assuming the details don't get too tiny for Tina's manufacturing process)

More ideas

Circle Chain
This is completely a "tribute" to the Circle Square Mold by CPC. It's just a little simpler (no square in the middle of the circles, no vertical connecting lines between repeating circles and the large circular grooves that frame them.

24mm inlay (left), 25mm inlay (middle), 25mm inlay w/ 18 count of the pattern (right):

The 25mm inlay feels a little squished to me. Feels like I need to adjust it slightly but not sure how. Maybe needs thinner grooves (assuming Tina can do that...)

Circle Dash
Made this one by mistake when I was generating circle chain, but kinda liked it.

These designs are generated in code so it's easy to tweak the proportions if anyone wants to see any other variants.
I'm also playing around with some other geometric patterns that I'll share tomorrow or early this week when I find time...

Those are wonderful ideas.
This really helps

Ok, couldn't stop thinking about this, haha.

I think the earlier "Circle Chain" 25mm inlay mock-ups I shared looked a bit too squished/crowded. For the 25mm inlay version I've tried simplifying it further and removing the inner and outer rings:

I wonder if Apache Josh would let you do the original Desert Palms mold

I like where this is going. This could be applied to other ideas too

Maybe Square Circle Triangle Rectangle Chain?
Just throwing out ideas.

I'm going with the idea that the new mold would be 25mm or larger that's all
Yes a new poll will be started once we get some ideas. The label will most likely be 25 mm.

Years ago back on ChipTalk, a user posted a chip called the Spartan mold. It had 6 or 8 repeating spartan helmets. I thought it looked good. How many label themes it would apply to - I don't know.
SHR or Spartan Head Right :D Or 7 helmets to represent the age that a spartan begins his training...or something in between perhaps.

How about a dragon mold? (my OG chips)

Last one before I head off to bed. Have we tried this one before? The Bowler and Umbrella....

Might have a go at the Dragon and the Mermaid tomorrow.
