For dirty chips, you can clean by magic eraser although most IG primary $1s are in clean shape and in decent condition.

I want to be clear. These are very stained pink. I am pretty confident that no amount of cleaner will change that. I have not tried a magic eraser and I don't have one to try, but I would not be confident that would work. I tried to take the best pictures I could. I put them against a white background. I'm still not sure the pink is coming through in the picture. I included a picture of a pink one and a non-stained pink one (not included in the sale) side by side for your reference.
If you have two racks of pink stained ones then maybe people won't really notice. If you mix them with some pure white ones they will be noticeable.

No one seems to know; also no one seems to know how to remove the stains.
Meaning they are truly "stained" in the sense it can not be removed

My personal belief is the red $5 chips somehow, someway bled on to the white chips, just speculation.
