Hi all! Brand new to this forum. Long time poker player mostly online and in Vegas. Thought id look into chips and collecting for a home collection. Have spent 48 hr in rabbit hole looking at recommendationa from this site. Excited to get started.

If ya know what UP stands for hit me back!

If I had a stronger connection to the UP, I would absolutely put together a custom chip set that mixes together the Chuck Wagon and the Gold Nugget out there in Spread Eagle.

Kinda hilarious how those are both popular chips, and somehow 2 locations across the road from each other up there.

I'm a SE Michigan lifer, have only been to UP a couple times. I do hang out in mid-northern Michigan frequenty (Saint Helen). Welcome to PCF!

Welcome!

I wish I could get to the UP more often. We try to get up there for about a week every year. Sadly I'm not sure if we will make it this year.

"Your mother had the tongue of a trout!"
I think half my family are "Soady"
🤣🤣

Oooooo good call. How do I go about finding them though. Ive never see them listed on anything. Might be perfect "camp" game table

Welcome! SE Michigan here, but have a cabin in Land O' Lakes on the Michigan/WI border (Lac Vieux Desert). Not a fan of pasties though, sorry. ha

Welcome!

Now, say goodbye to the life you had before PCF. You will spend too much time here, spend too much money here and develop a longing to quit your job and your family and gain employment with GPI so you can get an inside track on your own custom RHC chips.

Welcome! Spent my childhood camping in Hiawatha NF, on Whitefish Bay, near Brimley. Folks have a cabin there now. If you're an old-timer you might remember Tinkers fish fry near Dollar Settlement. Best damn fried whitefish, French fries and wild blueberry pie ever.

Might not Remember tinker's fish? But I do remember my grandparents cabin on white fish bay near Brimley and snowmobiling through the Hiawatha. But whitefish is second only to pasties followed closely by Trenary Toast!

Ah, da yooper from da UP makes an appearance.

Welcome!
You betcha!!!! We love us some poker after tot in the sauna, dip in superior and a Packers game

Hello up there! The Upper Peninsula is a national treasure. And you gotta have some minerals on ya to live up there. Is not easy. I grew up in the Upper Lower. East side, town called Lupton. Has a great state park, Rifle River.

The winters suck the further ya go. You are way up there! Taquamadon falls, Fort Michlimack, Mackinaw Island, Soo Locks. Heck even Marquette herself has some awesome buildings. And all the history. We didn't even talk about the Copper and them French and Indians up there.

You got any chips to show us? I got some. Welcome this place is rad

Spent a couple years with y’all. Was about an hour east of @Cratty in the bustling towns of Kingsford and Iron Mountain.

1. Pasties are absolutely where it’s at.
2. I moved there from LA. Touch of culture shock, not sure there’s many US places that are more different than LA and UP.
3. I absolutely had a great time. It was a different way of living and fun, got to do so much.
4. Only lived in areas/towns within an hour of Kingsford/Iron Mountain, and did some visits with friends at Mich Tech and Marquette. Beautiful lands and living, but so sad (and was surprising) to see the widespread impoverishment and drugs.

Haven’t been back in years, but moving back a bit towards country living with family now.
