Things That Are Bullsh*t (29 Viewers)

Unrelated to pink eye but today at my main event players commented that these chips are more purple than pink.

Im colorblind and these honestally look pink to me.

I guess I'll have to find the funds for the $2 Mexican Rose tiger chips (but they're the same color!?! both are haiwaii flower and mexcian rose?!?) if I want pink $5k chips.

Well,
looks like I am out of work, and I was given a whopping 2 day notice. I'm a contractor, and apparently our prime knew for a while, but was hoping for an extension, but didn't get it. They waited to tell everyone today (last night for me) that Friday is our last day for now. Our contract is on "indefinite hold" because of .... well .... you probably know why .... We all saw it coming, but we're disappointed with the execution of the plan to hold out till the last hour. Most of us sub-contractors are all small business that can't absorb this blow.

Not sure what's next for me outside of being one broke-ass MF'er. If something doesn't come around soon, look for a sales ad or 2, not that I have anything left anymore. My company/owner is calling every contract she has to get us on something (there are 2 of us from her company on this contract)

No need for sad faces or any sympathy really, as we usually land on our feet. Just a morning vent as I watch some of my early morning co-workers start to pack our desks up. Time to watch some youtube to ride the week out.

You say no need for sad faces but here's one anyways. That sucks man, good luck, but like you say you'll figure it out.

I just tried to log on to verizon's website. When I clicked "forgot my password" it brought me to a page with my options for recovering my password. The only option was for them to mail a letter to my house.
I think that says something about what Verizon thinks about the security of their own text messaging service,

Verizon’s UI is horrid. God forbid you have both cell service and Fios. Took me hours to get apps/website stuff a set up.

Seems to be a lot of that going around here. You, @inca911 and @p5woody to name a few. I've been fortunate that a couple life-shattering changes actually wound up benefitting me long term. I've been exactly where you're at Mark and it's stressful and scary and frustrating but I'm willing to believe someone has been looking for someone like you and will be more than ecstatic they'll get the opportunity to add you to their crew. Best of luck!

Kevin

When a breaker trips and you head down to the basement and see water on the floor.

Knew the "water heater replacement" item was on the to-do list. Guess it moved up the list.
I just replaced mine last week. And then made the mistake of asking the plumber's opinion on a couple of old leaky pipes in the basement. Four grand later, the 80 year old cast iron pipes are all gone.

Gout. Not had a flare up in years and the weekend I’m meant to be in Spain playing golf it decides to strike. So my mates are over there and I’m stuck back home in the 3rd floor flat limping around like Keyser Soze because I can’t get down the fucking stairs!!

Hosting a meet-up next weekend and I’ll have to stay off the drink.

Fucking shambles  :ROFLMAO:
