Anyone else buy chips just cause they look pretty?

I design them.
I hunt them.
I stare at them at night.
I dream about them.
I fondle them.
I play with them.
I invite others over to play with them.
I decide I can't get enough and repeat the process.

Guilty … I don’t even host but I’ve bought numerous sample sets because they looked cool and colorful or some sexy mold that I’ve never seen before. I don’t have a display for these chips and they just sit in my drawers and counter top where I can fondle whenever I please.

Perhaps when I’ve stopped chipping …. I will buy those 100 chip display case.

Been researching … but also not sure if I’m staying in so cal or nor cal. I’d hate for a nasty argument with the gf and my chips end up in a dumpster down here. Kidding aside … I think I’d want to frame them at my place in SF and be able to host games. I’ve gone through various threads on PCF for birdcage and storage so the next move is indeed … display cases

Yeah. Every once in a while you’ll find display cases on eBay filled with chips for sale. Most have a groove in them so the chip can stand up right and the shelves are adjustable or removable to hold bigger buttons. I’d rather use those clear chip stand and string a sample set across the shelf. Don’t like the idea of pinching the chip in a groove.

Also considered using a lighted curio cabinet with glass doors and sides. The shelving can be tall so I’d still use plastic chip stands, but create a tiered look with acrylic stepped shelves like you use with liquor bottles behind a bar. Provided an Amazon links.
