Harvesting Paris Chips - Tell Us Your Story! (2 Viewers)

Circus Circus might be the only place on the strip with $1 craps though, anywhere else would be tough for $1's unless you are making place bets on 6 & 8 that are in $6 increments and they drop you change. You almost always give them back though to keep coloring up your stack if your table is lucky and you're hitting numbers of course, haha.
its $10 or even $15 now. Definitely not dollar craps. So that made it even worse that I got 200 off the table. It took me a while to wrap my head around what had happened that night. But I'm guessing they eventually ran out of chips after I left and had to fill the table on a busy Friday night. Which is unheard of for a crap game. To do a fill in the pits, it goes through the cage, surveillance, and security. So every single dept head that night was probably thinking, WTF is going on. And they had to watch the tape, and the dealers/floor probably got a talking to and got the blame. and thats why they were so tilted when they saw me coming back for more.

They are a slow casino and probably have nothing better to do than notice. But I will admit. When I worked the casino floor, I hated running fills to the crap tables lol.

yep. I always thought it was kind of funny how annoyed the guys were who had to escort us around doing fills/drops. Its like, come on dude. This is your job. Your just walking around the damn casino, watching the money pass hands. haha. I guess it took you guys away from the real work you had to do.

At Harrah's, we did the did chip runs ourselves. That was even worse. Not only do I have to carry that large bird cage, but now I'm down one hand if something happened

I’m sad now. I thought I was having a good time. I thought this thread was full of fun.
Wait, why is it not full of fun? Get in here! More stories please!

I don't even need the myth that is old bergs, just give me Big O in the Fish Pond bergs  :ROFLMAO:

Every single time, something had to happen. While some of the racks were coming out, literally mint, unlocked from a cart, some didn't come out as clean. Finished up a cash session, have a couple of racks in my bag (which by the way was tiny and could barely hold a couple racks). Before we walk off, try to grab one, last rack.

Me: Hi, can I just get one rack of $2s?
Cage: Sure, not a problem. *proceeds to check her drawer, her neighbors drawer, and the third drawer on the end, nothing* Hold on a sec, I need to go get some.

My bag is about to explode of chips and there's like 3 floor guys and runners waiting to either turn in or run chips out. While we're all standing there together, she picks up a rack of $2s off a back table and proceeds to drop it, chips exploding EVERYWHERE. Cue the floor guys and chip runners looking very unimpressed, while this lady is now laying on the floor on her stomach trying to fish out individual chips from underneath tables, cabinets, printer, everything. Meanwhile, I'm just standing there in a ridiculous outfit with giant animal slippers on and a backpack filled with probably a grand in chips primed to explode.

Again, just a nervous nelly waiting for someone to surely say something.
I had a funny story about the series.

I was there Saturday with a chipper who sells a lot of chips here and we were about to leave Paris. I was sitting in a 1/3 game and he walked up to me and asked if I was ready. I have my travel bag filled with chips and he has his knapsack filled up also so It's about time to leave. The floor is a few feet away from us and he looks kind of nervous and whispers in his mike, "It's right in front of me". I'm totally paranoid to begin with and now I'm thinking he's talking about us or my bag and that security is on their way over. I'm waiting for my turn to fold so I can start walking out when he says into his mike, 'My left foot is one inch away from it'. Now I relax because I know he's not on to us. I get up to see what he talking about and it turns out there was a black chip on the floor.

Oh man that's the feeling. Lol who cares about the excitement of the $700 pot where you're hoping to pull one of your 16 outs, that's nothing compared to worrying about getting out the door with that bag of chips!

Srsly why is my head always dented in these photoshops. Is there something someone needs to tell me that escapes my notice?

sidenote/question - without going off topic, for craps specifically, I'm so confused. The whole time in Vegas everyone has their phones out, EVERYWHERE. WSOP event, BJ table, roulette, poker rooms, etc. Phone out 24/7, and never heard even a whisper about it.

Walk up to the craps table where a friend was playing, I'm not even at the table yet, and he's like you gotta put your phone down. Floor says thanks, and yeah, put your phone away.

Last time I was in Vegas playing craps I took exactly one picture at the table, capturing this phenomenon in real-time  :

I played this quite a bit last year when I was there in October.

This was at Harrahs which I enjoy staying at as it’s right smack in the middle of the strip.

1 dealer for the whole table and the elimination of chips entirely.

I still like the old school table better though and probably won’t play this again unless the other tables are full up.

Ugh. Takes all the fun out of it- it’s clearly about casino profits, not player fun.

Still camaraderie at the table at least. In general, It was more fun than the Trouble board game style w/ bouncing dice in the center bubble thing, you don't really get to see others bets or get to know the table players. No "shooter" to go on a run either. I like the real dice.

Then before the dealer even starts to cut out my chips, the floor man says "hold on!" then he scolds me in front of the other two players and dealers at the table. he says... pretty much word for word in a very angry tone "we had to have security come down and surveillance had to see where all of our chips went." Then I don't really remember what he said after that, because I was trying not to have a mini stroke.

I think it's absolutely hysterical that they checked the cameras to figure out why they were running short on ones...

But that goes to show that (at least at some casinos) they run a tight ship, they count every single chip and know what's normal and what's unusual, and they get really annoyed when they have to send someone back to the cage to restock just so they can make change for the normal players...

I'm pretty stoked with this cash set I made well i was out there! I just stopped at the cage and asked for a rack a day and walked out, I did not even try hidding them, I just walked out with the full racks right in front of me, lol. It was really early in the am when I was playing, at times there were more workers then players in the room so I'm sure they saw me walking out, they just dident care. The 2s I harvested off the 1/3 table, people were constantly using them for blinds so it dident take many sessions to get them. I am short 4 minty 5s if anyone can help a guy out!

After reading how people were stuffing chips in there bags, I'm wondering if you guys are the reason I would find like 5, 10 empty racks under my chair lol I thought people were coloring up but now I'm thinking there from you guys dumping them out into your bag and tossing the rack under your chair lol.
