Two Pair
Built my first poker table on a budget and with a pretty basic set of tools, and figured I would document the process. It is not nearly as impressive as the builds around here but I am happy with the results!
Supplies;
No-name Speed Cloth (Amazon)
No-name shallow cup holder inserts (Amazon)
Neoprene foam base layer (Joann)
1" Project Foam (Joann)
Vinyl rail wrap (Joann)
1/2" Birch 4x8 (HD) (I was concerned this would be too thin, but I feel no flex at either end of table..so good enough for me)
1/2" plywood 4x8 (HD)
couple bolts and staples (HD)
6' sturdy folding table (FB Marketplace, $10)
All-in, it came out to $250 and 8 hours.
Jigsaw + Palm sander for rough shape
attach guides to fit snugly on folding table
Jigsaw rail out of plywood, decide on cupholder placement
Staple neoprene foam base layer
Stretch and Staple speed cloth (used iron to remove wrinkles from clothe)
Most difficult part by far was using project foam to create rail, but trial and error got me an acceptable result. Having a solid sheet of foam for the entire rail would have made it way easier, but I couldn't find a place that sold large sheets.
Finished product after stretching vinyl over foam, and cutting out cup holder holes
