2016 WSOP Live Stream (1 Viewer)

I really hope they stream the 10k 6 max nl event this evening. While the mixed 2-7 has Death Donkey (deuces cracked coach), the 10k 6 max nl has some real potential.

Turned away from the stream for two seconds when it was 3 handed came back and it's all over.

Stud 8 final table on now. Players include George Danzer, Todd Brunsom, Justin Bonomo, and Randy Ohel. Grapes and Steve Albini about to be doing commentary. Heads up @Chicken Rob.

I didn't make it very far into the stream, but I did make it far enough to see maybe the worst played hand Todd Brunson has ever played in his life. I mean I legitimately think anyone vaguely familiar with the rules of Stud 8 would have played this hand better.

To watch the hand go here, click "Watch Again" and skip ahead to about 1:54:00. It's the hand where Todd has 99 in the hole.

I was 90% certain that the hole cards were incorrectly captured in the stream as this hand was being played live. I could not believe when Todd rolled his hand that he didn't have rolled up fives for a boat. It is absolutely beyond comprehension how he thought this was the right way to play this hand.

I was watching the stream with a WTF look on my face. It's as if he suddenly forgot how to play. Was there someplace he had to be? A "senior moment"? Did he suddenly develop a hatred for money? If he were a rank amateur with stage fright I could understand, but he's a seasoned pro. I'd love to hear his thoughts on the hand.

Jason Somerville is doing the commentary too, this should be awesome!

First hand of the final table was nuts. Hellmuth raises to 2.5 BBs UTG with AQ. UTG+1 reraises, it folds around to Phil and Phil folds face up. WTF?

Pretty sure that's how you dodge bullets.

Very impressive performance by Safiya Umerova in the $1,500 NLHE Shootout event.

Niall Farrell was by far the most experienced at the final table and dominated heads-up play, but she flops quad Queens to double up and even up. Then she outplays him the rest of the way.

Worth watching for some interesting check raises, three bets and gutsy calling by her and him.

I was glad to see her win. Besides, she would look great in a catsuit.

I just read her bio. She's only been playing poker for 18 months! She is ridiculously excellent.

The $888 NLHE event had some crazy plays by Hung Le versus Michael Lech. Lech was running up a huge lead, then Le goes all-in with Q-3 against Lech's A-T and spikes a 3 to double up. Then with a 5-2 Le gets in a bet/raise/call war with Lech on a T-T-2 board; Lech (6-5) misses the turn but raises Le who reraises all-in and gets Lech to fold. Last hand is 2-2 for Le and Q-J for Lech. Lech goes all-in after the turn on a A-T-X-X 3-diamond board and Le calls with four overcards to his deuces and no diamond while up about 2:1 to close the deal.

The commentators said numerous times that many pros have migrated to mixed games, to get relief from the monotony of NLHE.

They said instead of maintaining silence, hiding behind sunglasses and wearing hoodies, the players chatted and interacted with other players freely.

They also mentioned that these pros like to expand their knowledge of different games and the strategies involved.

My sentiments exactly.

Quoted just because it bears repeating.

I think I remember hearing at least one of them say that playing a variety of games improves their play in other games. I agree with this wholeheartedly.

I don't know if WSOP had much live streaming last year, but the programs and guests have been top notch!

I see Brian Rast came back to win it. He was down 3:8 at the start of heads-up. I didn't mind him winning or Bonomo. Rast was on life support after losing a set-over-set hand to Wasserson in Omaha, but regrouped and won several hands to build his stack back up.

Justin has been playing fantastically during the WSOP, second only to Mercier in player-of-the-year points. He has straightened himself up after that online scandal from a few years ago. I think he knows now he has enough talent to win without having to manufacture an edge.

They're about to stream the final table of the 5k NLHE, and while there is no Mercier, his girlfriend Natasha Barbour is still alive, so there's a chance we can still see Marshmellow!

25k PLO on now.

That Chicago Joey guy is kind of awful to listen to isn't he. His podcast isn't bad but he's kind of toxic to the booth imo, being antagonistic to Tuchman. It's fine anywhere else, just not on the life stream.

I did not read this thread in order not to spoil myself. Nor have I followed the Main Event updates this year at all.
I tried to google, but could not find the following info:
1) What are the airing dates of 2016 WSOP Main Event episodes?
2) If episodes are aired already (by ESPN), any link to where to watch online?
Thanks.

Evidently the WSOP ESPN coverage starts in September. I'm told that Norman Chad was on the 2+2 pokercast and gave this info.
