In the immortal words of the Rolling Stones. "You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need. ".

I started" collecting" poker chips about 2 years ago. Started with a set of showdown Club chips from Claysmith. And quickly advanced to a thousand chipset of Majestics from Apache poker.

Then we moved on to a 500 set of Milanos.
From there? 1,000 piece set of Dunes, again from Apache.

A thousand piece set of slugged outlaw poker. A thousand piece set of wild horse from straight poker supplies (rebranded Milano)

A 500 piece set of unicorn from Amazon
( Nexgen material)

Onto a 1000 chipset of Dia De Los Muertos.

Then a 700 piece set of Jack casino.
Then a 1000 chip set of cash club from straight poker supplies.
Currently awaiting my 500 chipset of Super Poker World.

So I'm sitting here trying to work numbers to get a set of Rounders from classic poker chips or a custom set from Classic Poker chips or both.

While I'm doing this I pulled out my dunes from Apache. Started shuffling a stack of $0.25 chips. They are really nice looking chips. Yes, I know they're China Clay. But they look nice. They feel kind of nice. They even sound kind of nice. As I'm sitting here contemplating my next move, I realize I have a nice collection. Surely may not be multi-thousand dollar sets of Paulson's. But they're heck of a lot better than dice chips.

And as we know a lot of the people we play with don't really appreciate chips. The way we do. They would use buttons like my grandma used to do. So the urgency is slipping away. I feel like I can just sit back and slowly build up a bank to buy what I want in the future. It doesn't have to be now. Well maybe soon for one of them lol. Yes, I have the sickness too.
My point is sometimes we want something so bad we forget what we have already.

Felt like it's time to release some of the sets to the public, they are prob not going to see a lot of usage unless you host 2-3 night a week and rotate them often.

This will also help to free up more storage space and added some fund for Poker Chip Fund or other necessities

Me also collect variety of chips (Ceramic, B&G, BJ Plastic, ASM, CPC, FHC, RHC, THC) but I do had 2 main workhorse Chip set plus few other in rotation, I like to keep the number to 6. This will help with what I call Poker Set fatigue.

Always have a Ceramic set ready for occasion like this, if anything durability is their biggest strength

What I'm looking at now is I will probably keep my Dunes and of course my Super Poker World when they get here. I was thinking of keeping my Dia De Los Muertos as well.....but probably not. I'm definitely not going to be greedy. But I feel like maybe I underpriced the Jacks and a couple of others. Before I commit to selling anything, I'm going to have to sit down and really look at it
