Hi all,

New chipper here... or perhaps "prospective chipper", "chipper curious", or "one with chipper envy" may be more appropriate.

My experience with chips is rather limited. I don't play poker. The only time I've been in casinos is for tech conferences. My use for chips is for economic board games / 18xx. I first found out about the site from Hobbyphilic's Youtube channel and started semi-regularly visiting after Apache posted their Board Gamers Poker Chip Interest Thread.

My desire is to have a really nice set that fits me personally. After much drooling over pr0n threads, I've come to realize that there's no single set that I've come across that sings to me as a whole, and I will most likely either be building a mixed set or going the custom route. There is certainly a wealth of knowledge on this forum, I look forward to interacting and learning from you all.

For now, I will just continue to fiddle with sample sets at my desk like fidget spinners while I contemplate my options. ;)

Cheers,
Tom

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

There were sets of chips designed by members and made to spec for 18xx games. Do a quick search and I'm sure you'll find the threads.

I did end up finding a number of threads, and I think I even came across some replies from you in there. Very helpful.

I'm originally from Long Island, now living in the lower Hudson Valley. I've already managed to get my hands on some sample sets, so I'm definitely on "the path".

Cheers
