Hi guys.

Some of my paulson pharaoh ncv labels are turning slightly yellow. Im guessing its probably permanent but just wondering if others have experienced this before with their chips.

What can we do to prevent things like this from happening? What are likely causes of this? Could it be due to oiling? I used johnsons baby oil on them before but I have read that was ok.

Thanks in advance!

One of the most common reasons for plastics to yellow is ultraviolet exposure. Of those that have yellowed is it on one side but not the other? That would suggest that it's UV and not a chemical issue. How do you store your chips? Are they in bird cages in a room with lots of natural light, or worse, do they receive any direct sunlight?

I store my chips on a shelf in the basement with a dehumidifier nearby to keep the relative humidity around 50%. They get very indirect sunlight for an hour a day through a frosted window at the other side of the room. If they were in a place where lots of sunlight was coming in I'd probably look to store them in closed, opaque cases.

Oh sorry. Forgot that detail. They were stored in those generic silver chip brief cases. So they were out of the sunlight and kept in a cupboard. But Singapore is a fairly humid place and I live near the beach. The yellowing is not consistent across all the chips. Only the blues and some of the blacks seem to have that problem. Here's a photo unfortunately its night now and im not too good with a camera.

I had already had the problem with paulson of the casino empress. it was of for too important soaking in the water for the cleaning.

I have a solution..... sell them to me then you won't need to notice them  :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I saw this on a couple of Le Cove $10 chips that I used to own. There were 2 of them in 150 chips, and the yellowing was only on one side. Being older than Pharaoh’s Club chips, it was a bit darker.

I haved the same problem few years a go when i was oilling my PCA $25 secondary....i think to much oil can turn the inlay yellow.
