Are the ones in Vegas different or do they use the same chips in both Casinos? I've seen the standard Wynn Las Vegas mold chips all over the place (blue $1s, red $5s, green $25s etc). I was wondering if they use these in the Encore in Las Vegas as well.

The reason I ask is because the Wynn in Boston needed to be rebranded to Encore, which makes me wonder if the Encore in Boston will get it's own mold with the Encore name?

Also, do you think they will rebrand the Wynn Las Vegas chips at some point (new mold, Encore name etc) and release the old ones into the wild?

I’m not sure about rebranding but I can almost guarantee they will not release the old ones into the wild if so.

I believe I've seen the on the forums before that Nevada state law is that chips must be destroyed.

FYP. No rules regarding tournament chips, I believe.

i'm not even sure if there are tables in the encore part of vegas. I think the encores a hotel only....the only tables are in the wynn.

BTW your intial post is a little ambiguous.......o_O:cautious::wow::rolleyes:o_O:cautious::wow::rolleyes::jawdrop:

Also why are we worried about the wynn cash chips in Vegas... they are the most blah chip rack on the strip IMO

I remember those Wynn fundraiser tourney chips selling for a lot a few years back. There was major hype. A lot of folks like them.

We all thought people were nuts Paying $4 originally. I’ve always loved em, and would love a set at those prices now, ugh

Yeah I love them too. In Asia, Wynn in Macau is the ultimate. It’s like Matt Damon and his Mirage. So I’d love the set so people will be like WOW WTF.

But not at $15/chip.

The "Wynn" poker room in Vegas is actually located within the walls of Encore; it was moved a couple years ago for a variety of reasons. It is still referred to, however, as the Wynn Poker Room, and Wynn chips are used. While Encore does have it's own smaller casino, separate from the Wynn property, it also uses Wynn chips. To my knowledge there are no chips specific to Encore in Vegas, at least at this time. FWIW, you can walk to and from both properties rather easily without going outside if you so desire as they connect seamlessly from within. Never been a big fan of their chips, but they run an exceptionally good room, imo.

In Las Vegas, both the Wynn and Encore chips use the same Wynn chips. They don't have a separate rack for Encore.

Just about too far to walk in anything but nice conditions and to close to benefit from any of their complimentary transportation :banghead:

From what I’ve seen in photos, I totally dislike the Encore chips with the white labels.

The ones with (roughly) color-matched hued backgrounds seem a little nicer.

But overall, I can’t understand why they went with such a generic and dull label design. I’d have done that job happily, and if I say so myself, much better, for free... Or at least for some comps.
