I have a budget of $500 for a 500+ chip set. If there's a really amazing clay set I might be able to bump it up a little.

Dunes would be ideal- I love the pink 25c. I'd just buy them if Apache had them in stock right now.

Ideally 25c/1/5/25/(maybe 100) in quantities of 100/200/200/100/(50?)

Good luck on your search! If I were in your shoes (as most of us have been), I'd recommend getting in on The Chip Room sale coming up this weekend. IMO, there's just something about genuine casino chips ... and Paulsons, in general ... that can't be replicated (versus Chinese knock-offs).

If you prefer new, I can do some digging and see if there's something I have that fits the bill.

Welcome to PCF by the way, I'm 1.5 hours south!

edit: I also want to add that 100/200/200/80/20 is a great setup for most small stakes home games!

I've got 200 Dia de Los Muertos pink .25s to get you started in that set. Br Pro should have the rest of the denomsnin stock- the pink .25 is a customized version of the non-denom chip

I was looking for the same thing. So far I’ve bought HSI $1 Secondary (2 racks) and HSI $5 Secondary (1 rack) and that cost about $500. Actually just got the $5s in today.

I’m going to use CCs for $0.25s for a game I’m hosting next Saturday.

But I’m definitely going to try to finish out the set. As you can see, the community here is really great.

Good luck.

Good chip sale coming up

Welcome fellow Texan! As @aggie pointed out, check out the Chip Room sale happening this Sunday afternoon. If you are ok with used casino chips, you should be able to come really close to your budget. Also, do you really need 100 $25s and 50 $100s? For a set your size 80/20 is more typical. That still gives you a bank of over $5000.

200 (cleaned) $1 @0.79 ea. = $158
200 (cleaned) $5 @ 0.59 ea = $118
80 x $25s @0.69 ea = $55.20
20 x $100s @1.19 = $23.80

500 chips for $355 plus shipping. Still leaves you about $130 left to find a rack of quarters. Those will probably be the most expensive, and hardest to find. You may want to look for a chip you can relabel.

Edit: fixing this as I had the wrong price for the $25s.

@aggie @Glacier @HaRDHouSeiNC @TX_Golf_N_Poker I took y'alls advice and snagged some Chip Room stuff. I'll fill the 25c rack with some Dunes 25c chips off Amazon.

I ordered a few extras of each denom from the Chip Room sale so could experiment with relabeling but I'm not sure I have the patience for that. Why murder, clean, and relabel chips when I can just wait 8-10 months for a CPC order amiright?
