Winstar or Chotaw? Which is better? (1 Viewer)

Newbie here, and I’m getting back into poker!

I am a big fan of turbo tournaments, and 1/2 no limit. I would like to get into going weekly. I’m all about the atmosphere, and am a female in my early 40’s. Which can make it a little more difficult to find a fit. Thanks for any advice!

Welcome…Winstar has daily tournaments, Choctaw has only cash. But keep an eye out for the big events like WSOP and WPT at Choctaw, the scene is bustling there during those couple weeks, they have some very soft very fun multi day weekend fields, and if you’re trying to meet and network other local women in poker definitely try to play the ladies-only event. Next one at Choctaw is a WSOP stop scheduled for January.

Also have you been to the local rooms in Dallas? Texas Card House isn’t too far from you on I35. TCH has a lot of tourneys and a lot of 1/2 cash

When I'm not playing at Windy Crest, TCH is my first choice for poker. If I want the casino atmosphere instead, Choctaw is my choice over Windstar and it isn't even close.

Thanks for all the great info! I haven’t been to any of the Dallas rooms or Choctaw so I am going to try them all over the next month and see what is the best fit.
