Will Sprit Mold take 25mm Labels ? (1 Viewer)

I have some 25mm labels, going to use on 2 sets. I bought some Sprit Molds and just wondering if I'll need to mill them?.

I'll have to mill the 8v's as the recess is just not deep enough to take the labels. (Org Mountain Top Labels),
as they are much thicker than other labels.

I'd be scared to mill Spirit molds, considering how brittle I've heard they can be.

The recess on my Spirit molds is 28mm across. I measured by eye with a ruler, not calipers, but that's such a large difference that surely a 25mm label will fit, and leave some of the recess exposed beyond the edge of the label as well.

I don't have a good way to measure the depth of the recess, but it feels deeper than the recess on my Milano blanks. Hope that helps. Good luck, and let us know what you learn!

I hope the recess is deep enough so I don't have to mill them.

They fit in the 8V's great, but the labels are just a hair above the recess, causing spinners.

All the other labels fit ok.
