Why do I want plaques so much? (1 Viewer)

Breakdown of our costs if anyone is curious. This did not include the J5 artwork fee. This was also the invoice that was sent to me. There was another invoice that had a significant amount of plaques on it. The total volume is not represented but needed to get the price down to $10.00 per plaque.

Thanks, a great resource.

Can you speak to why you went with Matsui instead of MSK?

I wanted the plaque to be flat (even with the suction issue), I read the printing and overall quality was higher, and I thought previous Matsui plaques looked amazing.

I was thinking of 8 plaques of 5MM, used to colour up all the T100k. No, it wouldn't be true to the film, but adds utility to the set. An extra 8 plaques shouldn't break the bank any more than it's already broken, right?
heh, could always get worse :p

Or I could save 50 $1MM plaques and replace them with 10 $5MM plaques used solely for rebuy, but then there would be WAY less plaques....
When the goal is to have plaques in the first place, it seems silly to try and have way less of them.

Originally I thought plaques is only for french upper class baccarat players, but after 20 years I changed my mind.
Actually they is useless for me, but maybe credible casino enthusiast need few plaques too.
They from Matsui, and quality is awesome!

I picked up some MSK made plaques for a house mold set I'm slow rolling and MAN ARE THESE THINGS NICE. I think my lack of interest in MSK was mostly around seeing really rather boring MSK plaques and less the manufacturer.

I'd still prefer the Matsui Presidential Plaques over the MSK ones simply because I think the art is a lot better. For the Casino Royale ones it'd be really tough to justify the Matsui ones at 4-5x the price.

I used them once for a limit game, and it was awesome.

Not that I had any in my stack.

The important thing was it was a 3-quarter/6 quarter limit game, so the buy-in was uncapped - and someone said "Uncapped? I'll buy in for $1,000". So he got a rack of base chips (25c each), a few stacks of the Limit set's value chips ($5 each), and then a stack of plaques for ($100 each).

It was worth it.

the next time I have a limit game I plan on doing the same thing! :D
