Hello All.

I’ve always wanted a good set of poker chips. I always keep a chip from every casino I play at. I have ones from Australian, Vegas, Macau and a few Europeans.

Back in 2009 I purchase 20 Le Paulson Noir chips from side port as a sample. I absolutely loved them. I’m not sure why I hesitated and didn’t purchase a 500 set. I still regret it.

I joined as I wanted to try get the 500 Le Paulson Noirs set I missed out on all those years ago.

After looking around and seeing @TheChipRoom sale, I’m going for it!!!

welcome
be prepared the spend $$ and be happy

It's funny, I originally joined ChipTalk (the blue wall) back in the day specifically to SELL My 300-chip tournament set of Paulson Le Noires (still regret letting them go, even after playing multiple events with friends over the years they were minty as hell)

Still, I managed to become a member of the community and attend tons of meetups and become friends with a lot of fantastic people. Welcome aboard and good luck in finding your set!

Welcome chipper
Thanks

Thanks a lot. Now I’ve joined I can’t keep my eyes of the Indiana Grand chips coming up for sale.

Agreed. The Le Noirs are probably, IMO, the best home chips ever made. They have the best spots and colors offered. The mold is stunning and the inlays perfect. The only thing wrong with them is their name.
It’s interesting to me that they were designed by chippers with a spot progression that seems flawed to me, but definitely repeats each pattern for two denoms. Not unprecedented, but seems like a strange choice.
Was Paulson only offering limited spot patterns to the public?

Yeah. Iirc rhey could only pick chips from the other home lines. National Poker Series made up the bulk of them.
Right, right. I forgot about the repeating spot pattern/colors across different Paulson home lines, even on different molds. Okay, now it makes more sense.

Welcome chipper
thanks mate

Man, as long as we’re going back to 2009,

Why didn’t I buy Bitcoin?

Welcome to PCF.
I know this is an old thread but I can't read about bitcoin without chiming in. I purchased around 50btc back in 2011 for around $8ea..... and promptly used it to buy 2 oz of weed off silk road. Over the course of 2 years (2011-2013) I probably bought over 2000btc and exclusively used it as a currency to buy weed with it.

My life's biggest regret. Lol
