Noob here. Noticed that all three casinos share the same chip. Was doing some research but couldn't find the exact answer. Someone once in person told me they were produced by Bud Jones. I read on here that they were owned by Paulson. I also read that they are no longer selling to the public. How does one even contact them to produce chips for a small gaming room? Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Bay 101's are Bud Jones. Bud Jones was owned by Paulson (and both have been sold). Paulson stopped selling directly to the public.

You can get live chips by harvesting them or you may be able to find obsolete chips on the secondary market. But if you're looking for chips for a small gaming room, you're going to want security, so neither of these options are good. Of course, if you have a license, I'd be ordering from Paulson.

Thanks so much for the info. You need a gaming license to purchase chips from Paulson? I poked around online but couldn't find contact info for them. I really love the Bud Jones chips and would like to get them for a small gaming room.

I not sure how big is your card club are or going to be but there is also a Minimum order of 250k chip in additional of needing to have the license
Great info, thanks! Got some samples of CPC and they just don't do it for me but might be my best route atm.

Sunfly Polyinno chips (aka hybrids) can replicate the look of BJ chips (you would just need a designer) and can be ordered in smaller quantities. You’ll get top quality chips, and I think they feel better than Bud Jones.

You could try Abbiati. They sell high-quality plastic chips and only have a minimum of 1000 chips per denomination. Plus, they’re a fairly major supplier to casinos so the chips are secure. Not sure about any details of your card room, but those could be attractive features to you.

However, if the card room is really small or the prices are too high, I’d recommend going with some Sun-Fly Hybrids, they can mimic the look of plastics while still being quite cheap and with pretty much no minimums.

Matsui is also an option

Appreciate that a lot but I would like to get chips for my own card club.
If you got a second-hand set of Bud Jones chips (like the ones in that ad @Eloe2000 linked to) you can relabel them pretty easily so that they have your own custom artwork for the central label. @WedgeRock is right, though, that you'll want to be concerned about chip security so that nobody sneaks duplicates into your game; it wouldn't be easy, since they'd have to buy more of the same chips you bought and then copy your labels, but it would be possible.

Do you have some idea of how many chips you'll need for your card room, and in what denominations?

Our plan is to run 4 tables starting so not entirely sure how many chips we'll need. I'll have to do the math. I think we're going to go with custom chips from one of the recommended suppliers. Getting samples shipped to me and my co-founder currently. Security is definitely an issue and once we commit to chips we're married.

Bud Jones Co. was purchased by B&G prior to the merger that created GPI. Paulson never owned it.

If you have a gaming license go straight to GPI/Angel for Paulsons or Bud Jones directly, their minimum buys are not 250k chips, price will just be higher at lower volumes.

If you don’t have a gaming license I’d go Sunfly custom hybrids, they replicate the look of Bud jones chips pretty well and feel great for ~ $.70/chip
