Anyone make custom Jack Detroit labels? Dont say Gear, my PMs have gone unanswered. Thanks

In my experience Gear is a little spotty with PMs but he always come through in the end. How long have you been trying to get ahold of him?

Yeah I wrote him last week and asked a few questions, he answered immediately. Then I place my order Friday, no acknowledgement or anything but I saw hes online so I can easily go with someone else who wants my business

I've gotten a lot of labels from @ABC Gifts and Awards @BR Pro Poker and they've been fantastic, they do good work. I've not dealt with gear but have no reason to believe they won't do good work too. Patience is a virtue.

You have to remember almost all if not all the people who do this stuff do it as a side hustle to their real day jobs. Just give them time.

All two of them, over a holiday weekend. I apologize for the wait, as I apologize to everyone who has to wait (all 60+ of you at the moment.)
He lives!!! Thanks for the reply, I'm sure you are busy with orders, understandably. Just needed an acknowledgement. Just got your PM too. Will answer back. Thanks all!!

Just use the infinity gauntlet to make labels. In fact, just make some custom Paulsons....PM with design thoughts coming your way...

You sent a PM on a friday and are bitching because you didn't hear back over a weekend. Wish all I had on my plate was waiting for labels......and an inability to understand other people actually have lives.(well not really the last part) Gotta love peoples need for immediate gratification and entitlement today......SMH

I appreciate the implicit support, but he's not entirely wrong... I do need to drastically improve my response time (and I am working on it.)

I didn't interpret it as entitlement, but rather as enthusiasm, passion, and excitement for this hobby, which I would never want to discourage. And it depresses me when I can't / don't respond quickly enough, and the flame goes out! Not because I might be losing a sale or a customer, but because I'm at least partly responsible for someone's disappointment and disillusionment with something that previously gave them joy.

Great attitude! Well said!

@Gear you are still the man, even if you aren't always the quickest to respond lol.

Chris absolutely knocked my recent order out of the park, with the print quality and artwork edits. The final product absolutely would not have turned out near as good if i'd chosen to go elsewhere for my labels.

Might I suggest setting up some sort of waitlist system for yourself, so you can respond quickly to the first message, saying that the request is a certain way down the list and that you won't be able to get to it for X weeks or months or a certain date. That should stop the pileup of PM's im sure you are getting.

lol im in the same boat... haven't heard back from him in over a month now...

I had a good experience 2 years ago.
But I have been trying to work something out since Feb with 1 reply in April (which was just sorry I missed your email) and now the new Sunfly chips are in hand. I get it he is busy and has a life outside of chips and I don't fault for that especially because something he enjoyed probably feels like a burden now. But yes I am exactly as he described, excited about the project but then just bummed out by the lack of progess and communication. I just wish he would have said I don't have time right now so I would have known and maybe done something different.

From experience the wait is worth with @Gear . I’ve always been very satisfied with his labels. And personally I prefer to wait and get them done by him.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the other producers do also a fantastic job but you know, when you are entirely satisfied with a specific vendor, you don’t want to go and see elsewhere.

Chris, I ordered labels two times from you and also had to wait some time for your responses. What I really recommend is having a standard pm "template" you can send out as soon as a customer reaches out to you.

Just a message that says "I got your message, I'm very busy but I will get back to you asap!" Then people know they are not getting ignored or forgotten. :)

I have no qualms with Gear, as I've never used him/her/them/their company. But, I'm a lifelong @ABC Gifts and Awards user, and will use them for whatever they can be used for. Then, if they can't, I'll look around. He's supplied my casino with super nice tournament packages/prizes/chip sets, plus my personal set, a custom addon, some very cool stuff. I've been using him for everything I can for about....8 years now I think? He's always fixed any small issues, and always stood by his word. Love what he's done.

Couldn't be happier with the labels @Gear made. Definitely worth the wait. Outstanding product and he is getting another order from me for sure!

Gear is a solid standup person, I have worked with him on a couple of projects and he has done great work. I would recommend him to anyone.
