Which pokerroom do you miss the most in Vegas? (2 Viewers)

I miss Planet Hollywood the most. I think I lost one session out of dozens there. The tables had loud, fun, wild conversations. Almost everyone was drunk. People were happy to call you with marginal hands on the river because they're in vacation mode. The front desk knew me by name. Lots of nostalgia for that mini "room" in the middle of the loud casino floor.

I remember on one of my very first time's in Vegas that I walked past the Mirage poker room. I was too intimidated at that point to play live poker though (probably 21/22 years old back then). Then I saw Rounders and all I could think about was Vegas and the ... Mirage.

Mirage.

Every morning my buddies & I would play 3/6 from 8am-ish until lunch. The dealers were personable, friendly & remembered us even though we were only there ~12 days a year. Played with a lot of the same locals (mostly retirees) every trip & got to know them a little bit. Game was easy way to start the day & they had good promotions (AA cracked especially). Matt, the overnight poker room mgr, was a good kid. The comp rate was pretty good & I always spent it at the Carnegie deli. Also, the restroom on the other side of the main cage is one the the biggest/cleanest on the strip. If you know of a "nicer" one, let me know. I want to check it out.

I miss Mirage Poker Room every time I go back.
I played in the poker rooms in the boom years of NLH of many of the casinos on the strip between 2007-2010. The Mirage was one of my favorite.
Does anyone know when the Mirage casino will be officially closed to make room for the Hard Rock?

O’Shea’s was awesome. As someone else mentioned, it felt like you were sitting on the strip playing. Loved that joint.

Way back in the day, I loved Luxor because they had a $50 max buy-in for high rollers, such as myself. That was truly an awesome game.

Also, way back when, I liked the Imperial Palace. You’d be sitting there playing in the open when the blackjack dealers would break out in their song and dance on top of the tables. Made for a fun atmosphere.
