What's the easiest Vegas strip casino to harvest from? (1 Viewer)

My mom is there now, and knows nothing about table games, and very little about gambling generally. She's played some penny and nickel slots on free plays for concerts/bus trip combos and not much more.

Is there a casino on the strip or close by that is super easy to harvest or get chips from the cage for a TOTAL novice? THC or RHC preferred, by rack or barrel, unless there's some cool live singles.

She could ask at the cage for a hundred singles as souvenirs.
They might just give her a rack or tell her what the max is they give out as souvenir chips.
Haven't done it myself but can't do any harm and I've heard it works more often than not.
Since the flamingo poker room seems to be closed for good I'd start there if I wasn't planning to play anyways.

She needs to play the “mom card” and just insist that she needs a rack of chips for her sons birthday. How whatever casino she is in was his favorite, but with travel restrictions and stuff he couldn’t make it to Vegas for his special birthday so she wants to do a special surprise by bringing the casino to him. Most casinos* will sell you as many chips as you want from the cage (within reason) in pretty much any denom above $1. The challenge isn't quantity - it's their condition and depending on the casino, the consistency.

For example, if you go into Flamingo and ask for a rack of red chips, you're liable to get a mix of ceramics, GOs and THCs and they'll probably all be in casino-used condition. The people working in the cages aren't going to sort through them for you.

As to the 'easiest' - that's probably Bellagio. I've never heard of them being hawkish about any chip harvesting regardless of the circumstances.

*We obviously know there are exceptions, like Paris for example.

Off the top of my head, I would think the cage at Venetian poker room would be easiest for THC.
