I'm looking for opinions on constructing a relabel set.
I have amassed a few RHCs in recent days, and plan to make a cash set.

Probable Breakdown -
100 - 5c
200 - 25c
200 - $1
400+-$5
100+-$25 or $20
40 - $100

Here's what I have:
600 Jack Cincinnati $5
200 Jack Cincinnati $500 secondary
200 Resorts World Catskills $1
300 Boulder Station $2
200 Horseshoe Southern Indiana $25 secondary
100 Horseshoe Southern Indiana $500 primary
40 Horseshoe Cincinnati $1000

SO my question is:
What would you do with these chips? What do you use as a nickel, quarter, dollar, etc? What chip gets left out?
Please discuss!

This one's easy.

Boulder station $2's as the nickels

Jack 500 secondaries as quarters

Resorts World as $1's

Jack Cincy $5's as $5's

HSI $500's as $20's

Forego the $100 unless you play a loose $1/$2 or plan on increasing the stakes to $2/$5. 100 $20's is more than enough bank for a typical $1/$2 game plus 4+ racks of $5's.

Sell the HSI $25's. They don't fit here, IMO.

If I use the HSI $500s as $20s...I will be moving the HSI $25s over to my limit set. If I use the $25s...I'll move the $20s to the limit set.

Any worries about purple and blurple in the same set?

I don't think so. Very seldom are there going to be many blurples on the table at the same time as the lavenders. $20's will not hit the table for microstakes and there will be no quarters on the table for a $1/$2 game where you'll most likely see the $20's on the table. The spot patterns and colors are also different enough that they distinguish well from each other.

They look even better the photo isn't washed out.
Honestly, It's like the label design was designed with that chip in mind.
But I ordered the labels in March of 2018...just slow as hell at these projects.
Can never commit.

I was thinking about yellow 25c, blurple $1, red $5, purple $20...but that insures purple and blurple on the table at the same time...

+1 for this breakdown, and agree that the HSI 500s make a better 20 than the HSI sec 500s.

if you really want a barrel of 100s, could look to grab 1-2 jack primaries from the TCR sale, or hit the classifieds for new secondaries.

Anyone like the blurples as a $1, or should I just go standard colors-ish?

That said, I think at a set-level, having white chips in the set keeps it from being too aggressively colorful (is that even a thing?)

If you wanted a $100 in your set, you could always pick up a barrel or two of the secondary HS Cincy’s from the Chip Exchange.

White - 5c
Red - 25c
Blurple - $1
Yellow - $5
Purple -$25 or $20
Green - $100
