Hi everyone!

Let me explain what 'wild' means here.
I have a Tournament Paulson set for my home games, but I'm thinking to purchase another set to play in a field where we meet the family to eat and spend some time together. We always play in the yard, where we have old tables and chairs and a very hard cement floor. So, it's normal that cards and chips go to the floor very often.

Of course, my Paulsons will never be felted in that wild environment, but I'm so tired to play with the dice chips of my brother-in-law.

Does anyone have a similar experience and what kind of chips do you prefer?

Two answers are allowed!

Thanks!
Carlos.

UV-exposure is another thing to consider. I would just get a set of cheap chips with plenty of extras, ceramic or plastic.

If @Hobbyphilic video are right, he had a very HARD time killing those ceramic chip when he was testing the toughness of various type of chip
I think this is the answer.

Get a bunch of extras too and you won’t have to worry if you need to throw some away.

In several years when they’ve been ravaged buy another set of ceramics and do it again. It won’t break the bank and if someone leaves them outside overnight or you want to loan them to a brother for a vacation you won’t fret.

I was wondering if Matsuis are quite hard to this 'Wild' environment. What do you think @Pinball? You are the an expert in Matsuis

Matsuis are plastic so they should be ok, not prone to chipping like clay chips. I guess if you can get them cheap… In my experience Matsui’s color Lemon is very susceptible to UV though.

Yes, not as cheaper than ceramic, but there is an interesting group buy of Matsui Zen, $1,16 plus shipping and fees, not a bad price for Matsuis :sneaky:. The only problem, that I want a 5c chip for micro stakes

Sound like card mold ceramic fill the bill, also you can have Casino Tribute set or Fully Customize Tourney set

Most important is cheap

Be a ballet and get 100 of the gold chips to use as nickels.

Or like, actually use nickels.

I would get the Poker Knights (or similar) from Apache. They're cheap and impervious to destruction. Their playability is really decent as well.

They don't ALWAYS have a metal insert.... The BJ v7s are a fantastic value and would look new even after multiple rough games....
