As much as I love
@abby99 's Lady Luck set - and in the interest of full disclosure, it was either #1 or #2 on my most wanted sample set for years until I finally snagged it - if I were to take one custom clay cash set of someone else's right now it would be
@k9dr 's Suicide Queen set. The mesh of spot pattern, inlay, colors, mold, and everything just subtly whispers "old school" in your ear (until the queen shoves a knife in it).
For my favorite custom clay tournament set right now, I'd lean toward's The Hitching Post by
@Mr Tree followed very, very closely by
@toad94 's [insert tournament set here],
@Rhodeman77 's Treehouse set, and
@Chippy McChiperson 's Nirvana Lounge set (pictured above).
For casino cash, as awesome as the aforementioned Trop 2nd's set of
@ssanel54 is - and it is pure joy, to be sure - I'd actually have to lean toward the Riverside cash set by
@gopherblue. I'm taking the set, the table, the pictures, the cut cards, the dealer buttons, and everything, and I'm fleeing to the North Pole where nobody can find me. This is the one small crown cash set that I've ever touched chips of where I'd be weak enough in the knees to own it.
That said, if it had more $1's (and I know it's going to get there eventually), I'd be sorely tempted to run away with the Trop 1st set by
@41Pickup. I'm actually surprised I haven't seen it mentioned yet.
VERY honorable mentions in this category would be the Lakeshores owned by
@RainmanTrail (pictured above) and the RVCL set by
@softchewy.
The Oceanside Card Club set put together by
@BiGGyT should also be mentioned. It may be used, but I love the consistent spot pattern and the overall look. Not to mention the effort and money it took to put together any of these cash sets!
For casino tournament, I'd have to go with the Paulson Aviation Club de France owned by [redacted], followed closely by the Argosy spotted tournament set which I can't seem to find pictures of right now.
In the ceramic category, the Paymaster set by
@Mr Tree (along with the storage case and table) reigns supreme.
I also feel compelled to mention the Clermont Lounge set on the smooth plain mold by jbutler. This is about as perfect of a modern crest & seal-style set as I think has ever been custom made for a modern home game. Sets like this don't often get much run, but if I had to choose one set of cash solids, I'd probably grab this & run fast and far since we can't reproduce it today.
