Recently acquired a large lot of chips...included were the following hotstamps. Any history or information on these would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

No idea at all, but very nice chips. In playable quantity?

Didn't find any other Nevada Nuggets or California Nuggets with that chip. Might want to go to the chipboard... maybe your chips are from 1959... and they just don't have pics of the smaller denoms... maybe.

Iirc in 59 these would've been made by CJ and not Paulson. The CJ versions have a shiny hat, they don't look shiny so I would guess at them not being that old.
Yeah, and these are Paulson spots not CJ, which I think is a good thing imho.

Also Carson Nugget has a yellow $1 from 59 listed. I'd doubt they'd have a yellow $1 and yellow 50¢ made around the same time.

Definitely try the chip board, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were an old custom Paulson set.

It seems to me that something is amiss with the referenced $100...or maybe the yellow $1 is wrong on the board.

I'm not familiar with the chip board but I'll have a peek.

The $100 is definitely listed wrong.

The Chip Board is quite different to navigate. When I need to search it I use google to search the entire site. "site:www.thechipboard.com nugget"

I looked and didn't find anything in the past posts, so I would create a new post asking for "ID help-nugget".

I'm not an expert on intellectual property, but
I can't see Paulson allowing someone to make customs for a home game and writing "nugget" on them. I'm hoping for you these are actual casino chips.

I checked The Gaming Table book and it does not list any known chip with just "nugget" on it. They all have at least "The Nugget" etc.

Thanks for that. Yea, chipboard isn't nearly as shiny as PCF. I created a post that can be found here:

As far as IP, I also would have trouble believing this to be a replica or custom - but I'm looking at this from a desired perspective.

I'll post any new information in this thread.

Those are all attributed to the Carson City Nugget, but that never made much sense to me, as they don't match any existing colors. I have a buyer who recently contacted me looking for a set of these for their Carson City collection.

So, you're unsure if they are from the Carson City Nugget? Do you still have a buyer looking for these chips?

Edit: For what it's worth, there was two Carson City $0.25 chips in with this lot.
