Just a question that came up while browsing through the collectibles: what happens to the chips of EPT, WSOP and similar tournaments?

Are they destroyed? Reused? Sacrificed to the Gods of Pocket Rockets? Reduced to dust and snorted by bracelet winners at the afterparty?

I understand they'd do this for casino chips, but what's the rationale behind destroying tournament chips?

They go to a chip farm where they can be free and walk out in the fields with all the other old chips.

It's standard for any old chips. Cash or tournament. Assuming they are concerned about counterfeiting.
