I have this little shuffle stack of TRK’s, along with several different CPC molds, THC’s, RHC’s, and BCC’s. I like them all, but there’s something about these—they’re so smooth, and cool to the touch. Someday down the road, I’ll have playable set of TRK’s. (You heard it here first! :D )

I have some Pick Hobson $100's that I've shuffled quite a bit. I might be ostracized by the community, but prefer Paulson's over TRK's (keep in mind I've just shuffled a stack, never had a whole set). The small crown mold is pretty awesome though, love the look of it.

Not just any TRK's. New china club $1's are the best feeling chip ever.

(I've never held a NCC $5 so, not sure about them....)

White Paulsons. It seems the white chips are softer than others. The get really smooth really fast. I have both Paulson $.5 CDI and current Sands PA $1 chips on my desk and both are similarly smooth and silky, more so than other Paulsons I have. (Aria blue $1s for example.)

Buying a Money Tree $5 to see what all the fuss was about was the biggest mistake I ever made. I should have stuck to ceramics and just stayed happy. Now I’m lusting after chips I can’t afford and even if I could, can’t find.

For example, this arrived today:

I just missed out on a barrel of orange Money Tree $5's a while back. Probably for the best. :)

I'm guessing my best bet for owning a playable set is finding some hotstamped home set.

In the last 40 hours these have felt the best to me.

It will change again in a few hours. I usually fall for TRK.

Buttery Mapes are the best. I remember the first time I played with @H|Q set at DCS, I fell in love with them.

I still prefer the nice, clean "click-click-click" of Chipcos.

TRKs are so *old*. Hell, I'm old, and I don't need the competition. :confused:mad::x:nailbite:
so you like the sound, but what about the OP's question? (I'll give you a pass as you probably forgot which sense is which in your old age):p

slightly used leaded Paulsons (ex. Empress, PCA) and TRKs (ex. Mapes $1, Money Tree $.50) are at the top of my list.

I think I’ve changed my mind. These Garden Casino fracs are the greatest! Why do they feel so much better than the Horseshoe Cincys I just picked up? Are these leaded?

Weigh them? I don't think I've ever heard anybody mention such a thing as leaded RHC. All the Paulson leaded chips were, what, pre-1995 or something? Did RHC mold exist back then?

I believe the PCA $1s (RHC) are leaded. There’s a few early RHC that are leaded if I’m not mistaken.

I’m definitely relatively new and haven’t handled all the best chips but my favorite to handle are lightly to slightly moderate used old leaded THC’s.

Aztar MO 100’s were so nice to shuffle.
Emerald Princess 5’s also felt so nice.

I have no idea. Maybe it's just that they're hotstamped, or that they're worn to that sweet spot. They still have cross-hatching, but the HS Cincys are worn well beyond that. I can't believe I'm actually considering ordering a scale to weigh my poker chips! :wow:

I think this is correct. The RHC mold was introduced about the same time that Paulson started replacing lead in their chip formulas (which took several years to complete), so it makes sense that some early RHC chips were made using leaded formulas. However, specifically which chips or colors is anybody's guess.

You hear "click-click-click" from shuffling Chipcos @pltrgyst? Interesting, because I hear more of a "plink-plink-plink" if that makes any sense. I encountered Chipcos for the first time at Luxor in '99, won about $30 at blackjack and bounced, I was so titled I couldn't really gamble there lol.

Leaded, gently broken in THC Paulsons > all. Nothing like shuffling 11g lightly casino used bricks.

TRKs feel a little too hard and clacky for perfection (older heavy ones like Mapes and NCC are phenomenal, but home market 8-9g ones don’t do it for me)

/\ /\ YES, This is 100% accurate.
Not because I have tons of disposable income to gobble up grail chips. But because for better or worse, this was the first type of clay chip I ever fondled/shuffled in a casino at 18 years old. I remember thinking, "damn these chips are pretty cool, I suppose all other casinos must use these dope-ass clay chips." Boy was I wrong...

I don't shuffle, so I hear the clicks when chips hit the pot.
